Are You A Christian or Not

Good morning. As Christians are we obedient and do what God tells us to do? Or do we do what we want to do and think we will have time to repent later? When we say we’re Christians but we don’t obey God we are liars. We’re lying to ourself, we’re lying to the church, and we’re lying to God. The Bible says a liar won’t tarry in the sight of God. In other words, God doesn’t even won’t us in his face if we’re not going to be truthful. So the real question is are you a Christian?

1John2:4-6 Someone may say, “I am a Christian; I am on my way to heaven; I belong to Christ.” But if he doesn’t do what Christ tells him to, he is a liar. But those who do what Christ tells them to will learn to love God more and more. That is the way to know whether or not you are a Christian. Anyone who says he is a Christian should live as Christ did.

Freedom

Good morning. Many times we are walking around free but bound in our minds. We place ourselves in boxes that God never put us in. We are shackled by our past sins and regrets. God has forgiven us but we haven’t forgiven ourselves. If we are children of God then we should be free in our mind, body, and soul. We need to ask God to change our mindset so that we can walk in the freedom of Christ.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Sustainer

Good morning. No matter what we face in life know that God is in control and that he will sustain us. We may want him to move and act on our behalf right now, and it seems as if he’s taking his slow sweet time. Just remember he’s in control of time and in his time he will deliver us out of what we’re going through.

Psalms 54:4 Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.

Restoring

Good morning. When we find that sin has overtaken one of us we should pray and help restore them to Christ. We should never blast their business or think we’re so holy that what they’re going through could never happen to us. How would you feel if people posted and commented on your sins, and they said they were of the household of faith? It wouldn’t feel good at all, so let’s be mindful of each other.

Galatians 6:1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.

Temptation

Good morning. Be in encouraged on today. Know that God has our back and he won’t allow us to get into anything that we can’t get out of. He knows our weaknesses and therefore makes a way of escape for us. So watch as well as pray today.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

You Get Clean & Delivered First

Many times we can see what everyone else is doing and all of their sins, yet we’re oblivious to our own sins. Before we try to help someone get on the straight and narrow we need to go to God and ask him to cleanse us from the inside out and deliver us. After we’ve been converted then we can go and strengthen our sisters and brothers. Pointing out other people’s wrong without addressing our own wrong turns people off and they shut down on us. Let’s look at the man in mirror and get it right with God.

Matthew 7:3-5 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Effective Prayer

Good morning today is the 21st day of the Daniel Fast our last day. Our focus today is EFFECTIVE PRAYER

The Lord tells us to ask, to seek, and to knock. When we do these three things the Lord says we will receive, we will find, and the door will be open to us. No doubt many of us ask, but do we seek and knock? Often times we pray that God opens doors for us but do we tell God I’m knocking Lord? The next time we pray let’s approach prayer the way Lord has laid it out for us and then let’s see the results.

Matthew 7:7-11

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

True & False Disciples

Good morning today is the 20th day of the Daniel Fast and our focus is True & False Disciples.

One of these days our relationship with Jesus will be exposed and that’s going to tell the true story. Did you know you can go to church every Sunday, and bible study every Wednesday, and work in the church and still go to hell? Our relationship with God doesn’t mean we just talk to him and pray. It also includes a behavior change. If we are in relationship with the Lord our behavior and character should line up with the word. This is a daily walk and we have to take inventory daily. Our ultimate goal is not to miss heaven.

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Sowing & Reaping

Good morning today is the 19th day of the Daniel Fast and our focus is Sowing & Reaping

Do we ever take into account the seeds we sow in life? Do we sow seeds only to feed our fleshy desires or do we sow seeds of advancing the kingdom of God? In today’s society all we hear is people saying live your best life and do you. All the while living their best life doesn’t include Jesus. As Christians we have to always keep in mind that we are living this life to live again. In our flesh is no good thing so we have to pursue the things of the spirit. We have to stop deceiving ourselves thinking God is pleased with everything we do. He see’s all and knows all. Look to Jesus and not world. When we look to the world we become discouraged and weary. The world may seem like they are living it up and having fun; but know that every knee shall now and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Galatians 6:7-10 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Laziness

Good morning today is the 18th day of the Daniel Fast and our focus is LAZINESS.

As Christians we are to be workers in the natural and the spirit realm. Laziness should not be named among us. When we don’t work, we don’t have a sense of purpose and we become idle. When we don’t work, we find ourselves in conversations gossiping about everything and everybody. If we have all this energy to sit around and gossip, then we need to use that energy to work. We should not be walking around fat and full if we refuse to work and the Bible says to leave those folks alone who doesn’t want to work.

2 Thessalonians 3:6-12 (TLB) Now here is a command, dear brothers, given in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ by his authority: Stay away from any Christian who spends his days in laziness and does not follow the ideal of hard work we set up for you. For you well know that you ought to follow our example: you never saw us loafing; we never accepted food from anyone without buying it; we worked hard day and night for the money we needed to live on, in order that we would not be a burden to any of you. It wasn’t that we didn’t have the right to ask you to feed us, but we wanted to show you firsthand how you should work for your living. Even while we were still there with you, we gave you this rule: “He who does not work shall not eat.” Yet we hear that some of you are living in laziness, refusing to work, and wasting your time in gossiping. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we appeal to such people—we command them—to quiet down, get to work, and earn their own living.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
