Inspection Time

Good morning. Have you ever asked God for a command inspection of your life? Have you ever wanted to know what’s really on the inside of your heart, why are your thoughts afar off, and what’s on the inside of you that God doesn’t like? If you’ve ever been for real with yourself, you know there are somethings about your character that you don’t even like. David realized it was something in him that he needed to get to the bottom of, so he ordered a command inspection of life. Don’t wait until it’s too late to find out what’s hindering you from making it into heaven.

Psalms 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Repent and Live

Good morning. As we look at what’s going on in the world we can see that we have become a nation that’s forgotten God. When right is called wrong, and wrong is called right we need the Lord like never before. The world will make sin look fun, but make no mistake the soul that sin shall die. God is calling us to repentance. While the blood is running warm in our veins we have to seek the Lord while he may be found. Let’s not think we can keep sinning and live to tell the story. God can snatch our lives from us at anytime. Will we be ready?

Amos 5:6 Come back to the Lord and live!
Otherwise, he will roar through Israel like a fire, devouring you completely. Your gods in Bethel won’t be able to quench the flames.

We Have To Teach Our Children

Good morning. If we have children or children be in our care we are obligated to teach them the word of God. When we go to church, it should enhance what we are teaching them about the Lord. It’s not enough for us to know the word but our children need to know the word as well. We are not with them 24/7 and they need to know how to obey God when they are not in our sight. They need to know what the word of God says and how to apply it to their lives. They need to know how to call upon the Lord for themselves. We are their first teachers, so let’s include the word of God in their lessons.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7
And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

An Inspite Of Praise

Good morning. Can you still rejoice in the Lord even though nothing is going right in your life? Do you still have a hallelujah, thank you Jesus when everywhere you turn all you see is failure? God never said he would shield us from challenging days. He said; low I’ll be with you always. He never said we wouldn’t go through anything. He said; trials and tribulations are sure to come. The Bible declares we are to give thanks in all things. Thank God for the good, the bad, the ugly, and the indifferent.

Habakkuk 3:17-18
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

No One Knows The Mind Of God

Good morning. We can stop having a lot of anxiety when we take God out of the box we’ve placed him in. He doesn’t act like us, nor does he think like us. We cannot even imagine his thoughts. Many people are bound because they’re thinking God is looking at them and thinking about them like man. Some of us think he never gets angry at us because he’s a loving God; while others think God doesn’t love them because he’s a God of judgement. And so, we either keep on sinning or we’re walking on eggshells. God is sovereign and who can know his mind? God left us his word to carry us through this life. When we read it, meditate on it, and live by it then we are pleasing God and there is no guessing game.

Isaiah 55:8-9
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

Sometimes Suffering Is God’s Will

Good morning. Have you ever had to explain to your friends why you are in a certain predicament? Your friends have been trying to figure out if you have some hidden or secret sin, and you’re trying to explain to them that’s not it. Job had those types of friends. They kept telling him; Job you must have sinned for God to come down on you like this. What we must understand is that sometimes suffering is the will of God so that he can get the glory out of our lives. We love to quote the scripture “if we’re going to reign with him, we must suffer with him”. Sometimes it’s not sin, it’s God’s will. God is in control of everything

Job 23:10-14
“But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside. I have not departed from his commands, but have treasured his words more than daily food. But once he has made his decision, who can change his mind? Whatever he wants to do, he does. So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny.

What Are You Looking At

Good morning. We must learn to keep our eyes on Jesus. When we take our eyes off Jesus we lose focus and start envying the wrong thing. We began looking at what other people are doing and start questioning ourselves especially if those people we are looking at are not serving the Lord. No matter what other people are doing we have to continue to do the right thing.

Psalms 73:1-3 Truly God is good to Israel, to those whose hearts are pure. But as for me, I almost lost my footing. My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone. For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness.

We Need Each Other

Good morning. When we work together and have the same mind things turn out better. While this world stresses me, myself, and I mentality; the Bible stresses we need each other to survive. There will come a time in our life that we will need a prayer partner. There will come a time in our life where we will need someone to help us lift Jesus. We cannot go at life alone. We will find out real soon that being a lone island will keep us down and in distress.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Be Still

Good morning. Contrary to popular belief God doesn’t need our help. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He knows who he is and what he can do. We don’t have to be busybody’s and meddle in his affairs. The more we try to help him we mess things up. He wants us to be still and watch him work.

Psalms 46:10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Can God Count On You

Good morning. After God has delivered you can he count on you? Many times we pray; Lord use me for the up-building of your kingdom. When we pray that prayer are we really wanting to be used or does it just sound good to us at that moment? Our daily desire should be to do whatever God wants us to do. That means giving him complete control over our lives. That also means not trying to justify why we’re cutting corners, or why we haven’t given him a complete yes. If we’re ever going to live our best life the only way to do it is in obedience to Christ. Anything short of that we’re fooling ourselves, and we know everybody plays the fool sometimes.

Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? ” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
