God Sees & Hears Everything

Good morning. God sees everything we do and he hears everything we say. We have to live life as if we can see him physically at all times. Would we do some of the things we do if we could physically see Jesus while we were doing them? Would we say some of the things we say if we could physically see Jesus while we’re speaking? If our behavior would change if we could physically see him then it needs to change because he can physically see us all the time.

Jeremiah 23:23-24
Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the LORD. “No, I am far away at the same time. Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the LORD.

Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen

Good morning. No one will ever know all of the trouble, heartache, trials and tribulations we’ve faced in life. Some of us have lost some things and some loved ones along this journey. Yet when when we look back over our lives and see how God has kept us in the midst of it all; he’s kept us in our right minds, he’s held us in the midnight hours, and he’s dried all our tears, we can’t help but have the testimony blessed be the Lord for he is good and his mercy endures forever.

Job 1:19-21
Suddenly, a powerful wind swept in from the wilderness and hit the house on all sides. The house collapsed, and all your children are dead. I am the only one who escaped to tell you.” Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb,
and I will be naked when I leave. The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!”

Committing Sin vs. Remaining In Sin

Good morning. Many Christians say they know the Lord but do they understand him? Do we say we know the Lord but keep on sinning willfully thinking we can repent after we have our fun? There is a real difference between committing a sin and remaining in sin. When we commit a sin we acknowledge we’ve done wrong, repent and turn from that sinful behavior. When we remain in sin, we keep doing what we want to do and justify it by saying; the Lord knows my heart. We really don’t know or understand the Lord if we are remaining in sin and not even trying to change our behavior.

1 John 3:5-6
And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.

There’s No Need To Argue

Good morning. Words have power and we need to be careful what we say. Growing up we were told to think before we spoke because once we let words fly out our mouths we couldn’t take it back. The Bible warns us about getting into arguments with someone talking senselessly and foolish. Pretty much we should ignore them because we can harm those that are actively listening to us argue. It’s not worth becoming a stumbling block to others over fools talk.

2 Timothy 2:14
Remind everyone about these things, and command them in God’s presence to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them.

Faith & Action Go Together

Good morning. Anyone can say they have faith but can they demonstrate it? Our faith shows when we place action behind it. One may say; they have faith that God is going to bless them with a job. That’s all good but have you started buying or asking someone to help you acquire work clothes? One may say; I got faith that God’s going to move me. That’s all good but have you started packing? It’s not enough to say we have faith. Faith has to produce works. So, the next time we start bragging about how much faith we have we better be able to put some action behind it.

James 2:15-17
Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.

Be Careful How You Cater To Different Social-Economic Classes

Good morning. Choosing to cater to rich people over poor people is wrong in the sight of the Lord. Poor people know they have a need for Jesus, while rich people only trust in their riches. Besides rich people have no problem suing us in court although we bend over backwards to cater to them and meet their demands. We have to be careful how we treat different economic classes. I’d rather be in the presence of someone who has a relationship with the Lord and can’t buy anything than be in the presence of someone that can give me the world but don’t have a soul.

James 2:5-7
Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him? But you dishonor the poor! Isn’t it the rich who oppress you and drag you into court? Aren’t they the ones who slander Jesus Christ, whose noble name you bear?

We Don’t Know The Mind Of Christ

Good morning. It’s dangerous to think we know the mind of God. When we operate in a notion that we know when, where, and how God’s going to move it put us in dangerous territory. Then we began to make people think we’re God’s right-hand man or woman. The Bible tells us to walk by faith. The Bible declares; now faith is the substance of things hope for the evidence of things not seen. If we knew the mind of God we wouldn’t have to hope for anything or have faith. We need to be careful how we portray our relationship with the Lord.

Isaiah 55:8-9
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

Motives For Success

Good morning. What motivates us to be successful? Is it our children? Is it to get out of our current living conditions? Perhaps it may be the bills that keep piling up. Or, is it that we’re looking at what our neighbors have and we want their lifestyle? Being successful is not a sin, but we need to check our motives as to why we strive so hard for success.

Ecclesiastes 4:4
Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.

Keep Your Heart Pure

Good morning. Just because we think we’re and we can find some justification for being right doesn’t mean we’re right. It’s the Lord that knows our hearts intent. It’s the Lord that searches our hearts. We can convince other the people that we may be right and we can deceive ourselves into believing we’re right. But after God inspects our heart the truth will come out. Let’s keep our hearts pure before the Lord.

Proverbs 21:2
People may be right in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their heart.

God Is Not Like Man

Good morning. God is not like man. God is patient with us. He’s not easily angered. He loves us unconditionally and he’s willing to give us another chance. No matter how bad we’ve messed up if we repent he will forgive us. The goodness of the Lord is like none other. Let’s stop listening to people when they tell us God acts like man acts.

Psalms 145:8-9
The LORD is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.
