It Doesn’t Apply To Me

When sermons are preached and we hear them, why do we think it applies to our neighbors and family members but it doesn’t apply to us?

Why do we always see everything wrong with everyone else, but it doesn’t apply to us?

We have a lot of nerve going around thinking we are without sin and thinking we have it all together. News flash! We don’t have it going on the way we think we do and if we asked God how does he see us, he may just say, we are a stink in his nostrils.

So, before we go looking at what applies to others; let’s get real with ourselves, and say yes The Word applies to me first.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Mirror

How many of us really take a good look in the mirror? Once we began to take a hard long look at ourselves the mirror will start to expose.

It will expose our pimples and dimples, it will expose our big or small foreheads, thick or thin eyebrows, blotches in our skin, and all of our imperfections.

Sadly, many of us do not take a long look in the mirror but are so quick to point out other people flaws. We fail to realize that something is wrong with us and if the mirror shows us any differently, we think think the mirror is a lie.

The mirror doesn’t lie and if we be honest with ourselves; we will thank God that the mirror tells us what our friends and family won’t, that is the truth.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Truth

We are always harping on people not telling truth and quick to call them a liar. We really need to ask ourselves do we really want to know the truth? Can we handle the truth?

Truth is, we shouldn’t ask people questions that we really don’t want a truthful answer to and when we receive the answer don’t get mad.

The only truth we should be seeking is God. He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life”. Even when God tells us the truth, we shouldn’t get mad, we should get better.

Getting better means start doing what he told us to do and not with an attitude but with gratitude.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Say What You Need To Say

Stop beating around the bush with people and stop sugar coating what it is you need to say.

In today’s society people want you to be real with them. The truth may hurt but it’s out in the open.

Remember you are not Jesus so you don’t have to speak in parables. Let your yea be yea and your nay be nay.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Do You Really Want To Know

When you ask someone, how are you doing? Do you really want to know? Or do you want them to say fine and keep it moving?

When you ask someone if they mind helping you out, do you really want to know? Or are you expecting them to say yes?

When you ask someone for feedback on something you’ve done, do you really want to know what they think? Or do you want them to sugar coat it?

Well God really wants to know how you feel. You might be saying He already knows and that is true but He still likes to hear you say it. God will never ask you a question that He really don’t want a truthful answer to.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
