People may have heard of you, seen you somewhere before, know some of your mutal friends, go to your church, live in your neighborhood, or work in your office, etc… This doesn’t mean that they know you. However, they think they know you, so they think they can talk to you or about you any kind of way. They think they know your character. They think they can describe what type of person you are. You have absolutely no type of relationship with them. You don’t even consider them as acquaintances. Yet, they speak of you as if ya’ll are homies from Wyoming.
Sadly, people act like this when it comes to Jesus. They have no relationship with him, they spend no time with him, they don’t know what his word says, and yet they’re always talking about him any kind of way. They heard of him, but they don’t know him. They think they know how God should respond in every situation that happens in the world. So, they say stuff like; if God is so loving, why did he let this happen. Or, some of them say; why is there so much war and fighting in the world. If they knew God and they knew his word, then they would know that his word says; there will be wars and rumors of wars and nations will rise against other nations, and kingdoms against other kingdoms. If they knew God, they would know his ways are not like our ways or his thoughts like our thoughts.
Bottom line, before you put your mouth on somebody, know them. If you’ve heard something about them, before you speak out of turn, go asked them yourselves. If you don’t know them but want to get to know them, build a relationship with them. Lastly, God is an open book, everything you want to know about him is in the bible. Read it, and stop saying foolish things when it comes to him.
Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
