Tell Hell, No

Years ago I preached this sermon at my grandfather’s funeral. I basically wanted the people to let hell know that they were not planning on making a visit there. No matter how much the enemy wants you, you have to tell hell, no.

You have to let hell know, that you’d rather be talked about, ostracized, put out and put down, before you give into the enemy. You must tell hell, that sleeping around ain’t worth it. Lying and stealing ain’t worth it. Disrespecting God and yourself ain’t worth it. When you really grasp the depth of the cross and what Jesus had to endure, you will have no problem with talking back to the enemy.

When the enemy wants you to take a second look at the other woman that means you no good, tell hell, no.
When that man says; if you love me you will sin for me, tell hell, no.
When the enemy tells you, it’s no harm in stealing office supplies from work, tell hell, no.
When the enemy tells you to give up on your wayward children, tell hell, no.
When the enemy wants you to focus on everybody and everything except the word of God, tell hell, no.

Telling hell, no needs to be second nature. Now, because you keep saying this, doesn’t mean the enemy is going to stop trying. It just means he’s going to try to come at you another way, so you have to be alert.

To be alert means to watch and pray daily. The enemy can try all he wants, but God said no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
