There’s A Blessing In The Storm

When we see the storm coming many of us start to complain. It’s too much snow, it’s too wet outside, the schools are closing, etc… Have we ever stopped to think, that some farmer prayed for the rain so his crops would grow, and in return it keeps the prices low at supermarket? Have we ever thought that someone needed a new roof but didn’t have the money, but because the storm came and tore off the roof now the home insurance can pay for it? Have we ever thought that man or that woman didn’t have enough gas to get to work all week, but because the storm came, the city was shut down for a few days and that gas held them over until payday because they didn’t have to move their car?

Don’t despise the storms of life. If we really look in the storm we will see all kinds of blessings. We will see how we were going to take a trip but the storm came, and the exact place we were going got wiped out. We will see that the hand written was on the wall all the time, but the storm had to come to uncover it. We will see, that it’s not God’s will that none should perish, but that all have eternal life.

Embrace your storm and know there’s blessings all the way through it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

After The Storm

When we were giving the all clear today after the storm was over, the sun was shining bright. So, I went bike riding.

As I began to ride my bike, the wind started blowing hard. I was literally riding my bike in slow motion. As I was riding, God began to speaking to me letting me know, because the sun is shining doesn’t mean that you don’t need me anymore. I let the wind blow just to show you, without me there is nothing you can do.

See, when the storm was coming numerous prayers were offered up to God. But, as soon as the storm was over; it was back to business as usual.

God shouldn’t have to bring a storm to get us to pray and he shouldn’t have to keep the wind blowing to keep us praying.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Storms Coming

Tomorrow the typhoon is suppose to hit us, so everyone is making preparations today. In making all of these preparations I wonder how many of us are preparing our souls as well.

Have we asked for forgiveness, have we repented, have we loved with all of our hearts? It’s funny how we store up water, batteries, flashlights and so on; and we take our souls for granted.

The older generation use to sing there’s a storm out on the ocean and it’s moving this ole way and if your souls not anchored in Jesus then you will surely drift away. Isn’t it something how the meteorologist can predict when the storm is going to hit, but they cannot predict how our souls are going to fare after the storm.

I think today is a great day to get your soul right and no matter what the storm brings; whether death, destruction or both you know without a doubt that your soul is anchored in the Lord.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Through The Storm

I’ve been flying for two days now and I’ve flown through the storm and rain. The airplane shook violently when we hit turbulence, and it was enough to make your head and body hurt, but once out of the storm it was like the airplane was in stealth mode.

Many of our lives are are going through the storm and the rain, and the turbulence is enough to make us want to quit. However, if we keep going through the storm we will get through it. Just like the pilot couldn’t stop, he had to keep flying through the storm to get us to our destination; we can’t stop.

Our destiny depends on us making it through the storm. No matter what, don’t give up, don’t give in and don’t give out.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Are You Prepared For The Storm

We know that storms are coming, so what are we doing to prepare for them? Do we have a safety plan? Where is our shelter?

Before the storm hits are you spending time with God? Does he know your voice when everything is going well? Have you included God in your safety plan?

Just in case you need to know what you should include in your safety plan here are a few things:

Water: Jesus is living water
Flashlight: Jesus is the light of the world
Food: man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceed out of the mouth of God.

These few things will help keep you safe when the storms of life come to disturb your spirit, but you have to put them into action.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

There’s a blessing in the storm

When the storm comes it unearth some things whether good or bad, but in any case we have to look at it for what it is and deal with it. Well when storms are raging in your life, look at the good that it’s bringing out of you and thank God that you still have some good left in you. But then look at the bad that it’s bringing out of you and thank God he loves you enough to show you yourself  and decides to give you a chance to get it right.

In actuality we need the storms so that we can see what’s in us that we would have never seen if the storm didn’t come.

How do you know that you are a survivor if you never had to be in a situation to survive.  From now on, never look at the storm as a terrible thing but look at is as a blessing that would have never happened if some things were not unearth in your life.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing
