Many of us know some spiritual Sybil’s. You know the person that’s always talking about God one minute, then cursing you out the next minute, then actIng like they’ve done nothing wrong, and then turn around and ask you to go out to fellowship with them. They take you on this roller coaster ride of their psychological problems and you need a therapist when you’re finished dealing with them. You start wondering what’s wrong with you that you keep talking to these people or why you keep answering their calls. It’s simple, we all need someone to long suffer with us.
Yes, even that person that’s hard to love needs someone in their corner. Yes, even that spiritual Sybil sister, brother, father, mother or child needs someone in their corner. You may not want to deal with them but they may be your assignment from God. Or, perhaps, maybe you’re the spiritual Sybil and you don’t even recognize it. You think everyone else has a problem but you. You think everyone else is crazy but you. Maybe it’s time to start with the man in the mirror and say; Lord is it I. Am I really as crazy as people say I am? Do I really act like a spiritual Sybil? Am I really that hard to love? Maybe just maybe you might find out you are the one. But, the good news is; God can transform you, he can heal you, he can renew your mind and your thinking. Then, when people see you they will say truly that’s a child of God.
