When people hurt us why do we feel like they don’t need or deserve a second chance? Yet, when we mess up we want God to give us grace and mercy.
Truth be told, if God only gave us a second chance we’d be in hell right now. He’s given us numerous chances and yet we still need more chances. We’ve all been hurt and we’ve all hurt somebody. Therefore, before we become so self-righteous and so dignified, we need to check ourselves. That person that hurt you deserves another chance because you may be their only life line here on earth.
I’m guilty of wanting to throw people away, especially if they’ve hurt me beyond belief. But who am I to throw God’s child away. That same person I want to throw away, may be the one that has to give me my last glass of water on my death bed. And besides, who made me judge, jury and executioner.
Just as God gives me daily reality checks. Let him give you the same check and take heed to it. It just may save your life and other people lives around you.
