Search and Rescue

This morning when I got out of the shower to go to work everyone was gone. I became anxious because my grandson was gone too. I started calling my kids asking them did they take him to school. They were as confused as me. I ran around the house screaming his name and no answer. I ran downstairs screaming his name and no answer. Finally, I opened the door and screamed his name and he was in the car in his car seat waiting for me. He had opened the door himself, walked to the car, got in and placed himself in the car seat. After I got him out, I explained to him that he cannot do that. He has to wait for me to finish getting ready and that I was scared out of my wits. He said; I’m sorry and I love you to infinity and beyond. I was on a search and rescue mission this morning. I don’t know what made him leave the house, because he never does that. Just like I was on a search and rescue mission, Jesus is on one to.

Luke 19:10 says; For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. That sounds like a search and rescue mission to me. Many people are walking around lost, because they don’t know Christ. God is so diligently in his search he has equipped us to help in the mission. For Luke 22:32 says; But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Once God has rescued us, he uses our mouths, feet, and hands to go and search for others. This is a mission possible, for there’s nothing to hard for God. So get up, get out and go find lost souls.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Navigating

Have you ever tried to use your GPS and it wouldn’t pick up a signal? Or perhaps, maybe you were driving faster than the directions popped up on the screen. Did it frustrate you or make you want to scream? Did you say, this stupid phone; I need a new phone service?

Have you ever asked Jesus to be your GPS? While living in this foreign country, the only GPS I can rely on is Jesus. I can’t read the language, I only know a few words, and when I say those words, the natives think I speak their language fluently. I’ve tried to rely on my phones GPS only to be even more lost.

I’ve discovered, if Jesus isn’t leading the way, I’m lost. It doesn’t matter how good I look, how eloquent I speak, how popular I am, if Jesus is not a part of the systems navigation everything is in vain.

Let Jesus lead and guide you today. No matter how dark your road may be, I guarantee, he will lead you to the light and clear up your vision.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
