Peace

Sometimes in life you have to get people out of your life just to have peace. It doesn’t mean that you don’t love them, but a peace of mind trumps a lover, family member or friend any day of the week. If someone is always bringing you drama, you need peace. If you have to constantly defend yourself to someone, you need peace. If, when that certain person always comes into your presence and your nerves are just shot when they leave, you need peace.

In some situations if you don’t have peace then it’s your fought. You can set the atmosphere in which you are. Even on your job with those coworkers and boss you don’t like, you can determine when you go into the office there will be peace. You can refuse to let the enemy have you all twisted and tied up for eight hours while you have to look at these people. You have to determine in your mind, I’m going to smile when I want to curse. I’m going to laugh when I really want to cry. I’m going to help them when I really want them to fail. They won’t take my peace or my joy.

God said he’ll give you a peace that surpasses all understanding. I never knew that type of peace existed, until I purposed in my heart to change the atmosphere around me. When you have to deal with constant drama, nagging, confusion, etc… It’s draining. It drains you physically, emotionally, psychologically, and sometimes financially. The bible also says; live peaceably with all men, if possible. Certain people don’t know how to live with peace, because drama is their normal way of life. You just pray for them and keep it moving. When you’ve had the peace of God in your life, you will never want to lose it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

God’s Got It

I was on the bus headed to the airport to go on another business trip when my phone rang. It was my daughter crying uncontrollably, she had just had a car accident. I was trying to get her to calm down to see if she was alright and to see if the other driver was ok. My daughter wanted me to come but I was already on the bus. There was nothing physically I could do.

I told her, let me call somebody and I will call you right back. I called my pastor, the deacon, my co-worker and anybody else I could think of. I was trying to stay calm but hearing the fear and anguish I’m my daughters voice was making me feel more and more helpless.

I did the best thing I could do. I prayed, I prayed for her and the driver and I prayed Lord please don’t let this cost me too much. Everyone showed up to help my daughter. It was God telling me I got this, you can’t do anything anyway. I spoke with the police because my daughter forgot her drivers license, I let them know who I was and who I worked for and everything went smoothly for her. I spoke with the paramedics and they told me the other driver was ok, no airbags deployed, the driver was sitting on top of the steering and they were going to check the driver for chest and abdominal pain; and that there was very minimal damage to her bumper. I felt relieved.

God has every situation under control in our lives, whether it’s a car accident, finances, children, jobs, etc…

I’m going on my business trip in peace knowing God’s got it. Today have peace in whatever situation you are in. Just keep speaking, God’s got it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Finally

When things start going right and lining up the way they should go, do you ever feel like, finally? Finally, things are going my way, finally, I don’t have to deal with that.

We all have finally moments and sometimes it seems like it takes finally forever to get here; then, it’s gone so quickly and we’re looking for our next finally.

When your finally moment presents itself, enjoy it! You’ve waited a long time to see it. Don’t let anyone rush the moment for you because as long as you live, something else will come along to knock finally out of the way and new trial in the way. It may take finally even longer to come back around.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Hold Your Peace

Have you noticed when you start praising God people want you to hold your peace. Not just in church, but when you’re at work and you’re telling of the goodness of Jesus.

No matter what the people are saying or how they feel, don’t hold your peace. Jesus said if we don’t praise him then the rocks will cry out.

I don’t know about you but I don’t want no rocks crying out for me. Jesus said let everything that has breath praise The Lord.

So there you have it, don’t hold your peace, every chance you get tell of the goodness of The Lord. Tell people how you didn’t deserve it but God. Tell people how you could be crazy but God. Tell people if it had not been for The Lord on your side.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Tell Anyone

Many times when Jesus performed a miracle in someone’s life he told them, see to it that you tell no one. That same person wouldn’t be able to hold their peace and began telling everybody.

Why is it when God blesses us we tell everyone but when he chastises us we tell no one?

Some blessings we can’t even tell people about because everyone will not be happy for us. Then there are some blessings that we be like for real God you just blessed me and you want me to keep silent, you know I can’t do that!

However big or small the blessing is, be thankful for it, and if God tells you not to say a word then don’t because he has a purpose for you not sharing.

So I guess it’s time for us to learn how to be slow to speak and quick to hear.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

When Was The Last Time

When was the last time you did something for someone else just because?

When was the last time you went a whole day without complaining?

When was the last time you went to God with a thank you instead of a let me ask you?

Many of us have forgotten about the simple things in life like going for a walk, helping others with no hidden agendas, relaxing and taking in God’s fresh air.

So remind yourself of when the last time life was simple and peaceful and try to get some of that back.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Let Your Light Shine

Has someone ever pushed your buttons and you were ready to let them have it, but instead you decided to do something that you’ve never done before; be quiet and kept it moving?

Has someone ever made you want to curse and the words were right on the tip of your tongue but instead of cursing you began to laugh?

Has someone ever challenged your salvation and told you that you were not really saved and that you are trying to be some holy roller and you just smiled?

When you let your light shine it doesn’t always require you to respond verbally to others behavior. It just requires you to shine.

Stop trying to respond the way the world would have you to and respond the way Jesus did.

Sometimes He never said a word.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
