When Was The Last Time

When was the last time you did something for someone else just because?

When was the last time you went a whole day without complaining?

When was the last time you went to God with a thank you instead of a let me ask you?

Many of us have forgotten about the simple things in life like going for a walk, helping others with no hidden agendas, relaxing and taking in God’s fresh air.

So remind yourself of when the last time life was simple and peaceful and try to get some of that back.

For Real

Have you ever received some shocking news and asked the question, for real? Is this a joke? Or perhaps you got an overpriced utility bill in the mail and you really were like for real am I paying for the city lights?

Well we get news all the time that Jesus is coming back and our actions say, for real. Since God has not punished us on the spot for sinning we act like the bible lies when it says he’s coming back.

The shocking news is going to be when he comes back and catches us with our work undone, then we will really say his word is for real. He’s not a man that he should lie.

Let’s not get caught with our work undone because hell is for real.

I Would, But

How many of us have dreams and visions locked up on the inside of us but our fears have held us back?

The word but has robbed so many of us of our blessings and our destiny and we have become satisfied with it.

Well from this day forward we have to replace the word but with the word and.

Instead of saying I would go to school but; say I am going to school and I’m going to finish.

Instead of saying I would go to church but; say I’m going to church and I’m going to receive everything that God has for me.

Instead of saying I would pursue my dreams but; say I’m pursuing my dreams and nothing is going to stop me.

The only but that should be in our mouths are the but God.

I would have lost my mind, but God, said he’d keep me in perfect peace if I kept my mind stayed on him.

I almost let go and threw in the towel, but God, stepped in right on time and saved me.

I thought I wasn’t going to make it, but God, said you shall live and not die.

You see when you change one word your whole situation changes.

I’m Down but Not Out

Looking at the current situation you are facing one would think you should just throw in the towel. But something on the inside is telling you don’t give up.

When people are on the outside looking in they always have advice on what you should or shouldn’t do.

Tell yourself I may be down but not out. I have Jesus on my side and he wouldn’t put more on me than I can bear.

Don’t you start having a pity party or allow someone else to make you have a pity party.

When pity tries to creep in turn it into praise

When sorrow tries to creep in turn it into singing

When hopelessness tries to creep in turn it into healing

When depression tries to creep in turn it into dancing

This will cause the enemy to look at you and say I thought you were down for the count and you can reply I’m down but not out. There’s more than meet the eye when you look at me.

How Powerful Is The Blood

If we bleed out we die.
If Jesus bleed out we live.

If something touches our blood we become contaminated.
If Jesus touches us with His blood we become cleansed.

You ask just how powerful is the blood?

Well what can wash away our sins?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

What can make us whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

There is power, power wonder working power in the blood of the lamb.

The blood of Jesus will never lose it’s power, so let’s stop taking the blood for granted.

Tomorrow

We have all heard the saying that tomorrow is not promised. In actuality tomorrow is promised we just don’t know what side of tomorrow we will be in.

Will we be in the land of the living or the grave of the dead.

Will we be in eternity or in hell will we lift up our eyes.

See tomorrow is coming we just don’t know what tomorrow holds.

So today live a Godly life, repent, and get things right for we don’t know what side we will be in tomorrow.

Hard To Love People

Do you know someone that’s hard to love? No matter how nice you try to be they always have something negative to say. Sometimes you may find yourself going above and beyond to show that you love and care for this person. You prefer to love them from afar or just not deal with them.

Well have you ever thought that you were hard to love? That no matter what goes on you always have something negative to say. Have you noticed anyone going above and beyond to show you that they love you and care for you?

Well imagine this! At one point we were hard to love but Jesus went above and beyond to show us that He loves us and cares for us.

No matter how negative we were, He said I love you.
No matter how much we complained, He said I know the plans I have for you.
No matter how much we resist Him, He said behold I stand at the door and knock.
No matter how much we try to fight, He said why kick against the prick
No matter how much sin we’ve committed, He said it’s not my will that none should perish.

So before you decide to completely shut that person off because they are hard to love, think back when God could have cut you off but instead said I come that you might have life and that more abundantly.

You Just Never Know

How many of us wake up in the morning and really know how our day is going to go? We may think we know or we may have some idea of how we would like it to go but we just never know.

You just never know when the phone rings what’s going to be on the other end. You just never know if you will get off that phone call happy, mad, disappointed, confused or in tears.

You just never know that when you started dating that person that they would turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to you or that you would have to run for your life.

You just never know that your boss has been watching you and decided to promote you ahead of your peers or fire you for taking paper, pens, and supplies home.

You just never know that while you are in fairly good health all of a sudden your health fails without warning.

See I just never knew so many good things and bad things would happen to me in life but at the end of the day I would still have joy. I just never knew two years ago February 27, 2012 I would undergo heart surgery at 37yrs old. I just never knew I would write out my own obituary just in case I didn’t make it. I just never knew that I had to think about who was going to care of my children and grandchild  if I departed this world too soon.

The only thing I did know was that I gave my life to Jesus and I didn’t wait until I got sick to recognize I needed the Savior. So since we just never know, how about we choose to give God our life today because today could be the day that our soul is required of thee.
