God’s Got It

I was on the bus headed to the airport to go on another business trip when my phone rang. It was my daughter crying uncontrollably, she had just had a car accident. I was trying to get her to calm down to see if she was alright and to see if the other driver was ok. My daughter wanted me to come but I was already on the bus. There was nothing physically I could do.

I told her, let me call somebody and I will call you right back. I called my pastor, the deacon, my co-worker and anybody else I could think of. I was trying to stay calm but hearing the fear and anguish I’m my daughters voice was making me feel more and more helpless.

I did the best thing I could do. I prayed, I prayed for her and the driver and I prayed Lord please don’t let this cost me too much. Everyone showed up to help my daughter. It was God telling me I got this, you can’t do anything anyway. I spoke with the police because my daughter forgot her drivers license, I let them know who I was and who I worked for and everything went smoothly for her. I spoke with the paramedics and they told me the other driver was ok, no airbags deployed, the driver was sitting on top of the steering and they were going to check the driver for chest and abdominal pain; and that there was very minimal damage to her bumper. I felt relieved.

God has every situation under control in our lives, whether it’s a car accident, finances, children, jobs, etc…

I’m going on my business trip in peace knowing God’s got it. Today have peace in whatever situation you are in. Just keep speaking, God’s got it.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Lead Me Lord

When we ask God to lead us do we really want to follow him or are we saying lead me because that’s what church people say?

What happens when God begins to lead us in uncomfortable situations or lead us right out of our comfort zone?

Do we still desire to follow him or do we want to turn back? Truth be told some of us want to pump the brakes, catch our breath, and say Lord what’s up with this, you do know where you’re going right. You do understand Lord I am right behind you and I don’t know where we are going, I have no clue where you are taking me.

Asking God to lead us can be scary but he has our best interest at heart. He won’t lead us anywhere that he can’t sustain us. Everything in us may want to turn away but this is the time that we have to sticker closer to God.

For if we turn around we are not fit for the Kingdom of God or fit for the Masters use.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

They said vs. God said

They said you wouldn’t make it.
God said you’re more than a conqueror.

They said to throw in the towel.
God said to run on and see what the ends going to be.

They said it’s a dead situation.
God said I am the resurrection.

They said it won’t work.
God said all things are possible.

They said bye and left you lonely.
God said I’ll never leave you nor forsake you.

Instead of listening to they, let’s listen to God. For, do we even know who they are? We always know who God is.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Do You Really Want To Know

When you ask someone, how are you doing? Do you really want to know? Or do you want them to say fine and keep it moving?

When you ask someone if they mind helping you out, do you really want to know? Or are you expecting them to say yes?

When you ask someone for feedback on something you’ve done, do you really want to know what they think? Or do you want them to sugar coat it?

Well God really wants to know how you feel. You might be saying He already knows and that is true but He still likes to hear you say it. God will never ask you a question that He really don’t want a truthful answer to.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
