I’m The Boss

Are you the boss? Are you in a leadership position? Do you have the need to always let people know who you are?

I was talking to a lady on yesterday and she stated “Ms. Brown I didn’t realize you were that high on the food chain until I saw your signature block”. She said you don’t go around flexing the rank of your position, you talk to everyone. I thought about that for a while and had to thank God.

You see I keep praying Lord let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. There was a time when I would have to let people know who I was but it doesn’t matter now. As long as I know who I am, God knows who I am and my paycheck reflects that I’m good. Jesus didn’t show up saying I’m the boss and you better do this or that.

No, he showed up humble and often times told people after he blessed them; see to it that you tell no one.

So if you are the boss or in a leadership position, you can be the boss without being bossy or throwing your position in someone else’s face.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Throw It In My Face

Often times we do things for other people but then we have to make sure that they know it.

We may have helped them out of a bad situation, or with some food, or money, etc…

Next thing you know, we are holding them hostage with what we’ve done for them. We are quick to remind them that if we were not there when times were hard for them they wouldn’t have made it. We tend to do this to our children, spouses, and let’s not forget our fellow church members.

Have we ever stopped to think that God doesn’t throw anything in our face but a mirror?

When he delivered us did he ever throw in our faces that we were wretches undone?

When he healed our bodies did he ever throw in our faces that he could have let us die?

When he died on the cross did he ever throw in our faces that we were on our way to a burning hell? No! He said Father forgive them for they know not what they do.

So on today if you are going to do something for somebody, do it, then let it go. Don’t throw it in their face because it could be you on the receiving end.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
