Pray For Me

When people ask you to pray for them, do you really pray for them? Do you tell them, I’ll pray for you and keep it moving? Do you have good intentions on praying for them but get side tracked in the process and forget?

Now when people ask me to pray for them, I stop what I’m doing and pray for them right then and there. It doesn’t matter where we are at. We can be at work, the grocery store, out to dinner, etc… I use to tell people I’d pray for them, then I would forget. I would become busy with doing something else or focussing on my kids. I just find it better to touch and agree with them right there. We all need prayer and the mere fact someone has trusted us enough to come to us and ask for prayer, should make us stop and take a minute to pray. We just don’t know that our prayers may have helped them make it just one more day. Our prayers may have stopped them from committing suicide or homicide. Our prayers may have made them say; I’ll run on to see what the ends going to be.

Make sure you’re never to busy to stop and pray when someone asks. It might just save their life.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Jesus I’ll Never Forget

We use to sing a song that said Jesus I’ll never forget what you’ve done for me; Jesus I’ll never forget how you set me free; Jesus I’ll never forget, no never.

As I think of that song, I see where a lot of us have forgotten what Jesus has done for us because we constantly complain.

I see where a lot of us have forgotten that we’ve been set free because we love to stay in bondage.

We’ve forgotten that Jesus died for our sins so that we will have the right to salvation.

Let’s make good on our promise that Jesus we won’t forget and let’s pray continually that Jesus will always put us in remembrance of what he has done for us; so that we stop straying from his word and his way.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Throw It In My Face

Often times we do things for other people but then we have to make sure that they know it.

We may have helped them out of a bad situation, or with some food, or money, etc…

Next thing you know, we are holding them hostage with what we’ve done for them. We are quick to remind them that if we were not there when times were hard for them they wouldn’t have made it. We tend to do this to our children, spouses, and let’s not forget our fellow church members.

Have we ever stopped to think that God doesn’t throw anything in our face but a mirror?

When he delivered us did he ever throw in our faces that we were wretches undone?

When he healed our bodies did he ever throw in our faces that he could have let us die?

When he died on the cross did he ever throw in our faces that we were on our way to a burning hell? No! He said Father forgive them for they know not what they do.

So on today if you are going to do something for somebody, do it, then let it go. Don’t throw it in their face because it could be you on the receiving end.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
