What Do You Do

What do you do when life throws you a curve ball and the situation is so bad that you can’t even pray?

What do you do when the child you’ve raised won’t talk to you or you get a phone call saying their dead?

What do you do when you continue to get passed over for promotion and you know you’re qualified?

What do you do when reading the word, going to church, and hanging around Christians make you sick?

You lean on God and trust in God as if your very life depended on it because in actuality it does. Life has a way of letting us know just how fragile and vulnerable we are. It can rip the very core of our faith and yes it can happen to the best of us.

So today, let’s purpose in our hearts and minds that we will cast all of our cares on The Lord, no matter how small or big.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

They said vs. God said

They said you wouldn’t make it.
God said you’re more than a conqueror.

They said to throw in the towel.
God said to run on and see what the ends going to be.

They said it’s a dead situation.
God said I am the resurrection.

They said it won’t work.
God said all things are possible.

They said bye and left you lonely.
God said I’ll never leave you nor forsake you.

Instead of listening to they, let’s listen to God. For, do we even know who they are? We always know who God is.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Are You FAT

Do you consider yourself a FAT person?

Faithful- to whatever God has called you to do no matter how small or large the task

Available- are you available and dependable even when it’s not your turn to shine. Can you work behind the scenes and let someone else’s light shine without saying what you did to help make it happen

Teachable- are you too old to learn something new? Do you feel like I’ve been there, done that, I got a t-shirt to prove it? Do you look at the person who is trying to teach you something and say to yourself, you’re kidding me right, go sit down somewhere or who are you to tell me something you’re not all that?

FAT people don’t mind being Faithful, Available, or Teachable. They understand that God could have chosen anyone to accomplish His mission but he chose them. They don’t mind letting someone else get the glory because they know where their reward is coming from. They don’t need their names in lights because they realize that they are servants and not celebrities. FAT people don’t care whose doing the teaching as long as they are learning and can apply what they’ve learned to everyday living.

So I ask you again are you a FAT person? If not its not to late to gain some spiritual weight and if you are, make sure to leave those spiritual diets alone they only make you a SLIM person.

Shady
Lazy
Immature
Mediocre

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

You Just Never Know

How many of us wake up in the morning and really know how our day is going to go? We may think we know or we may have some idea of how we would like it to go but we just never know.

You just never know when the phone rings what’s going to be on the other end. You just never know if you will get off that phone call happy, mad, disappointed, confused or in tears.

You just never know that when you started dating that person that they would turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to you or that you would have to run for your life.

You just never know that your boss has been watching you and decided to promote you ahead of your peers or fire you for taking paper, pens, and supplies home.

You just never know that while you are in fairly good health all of a sudden your health fails without warning.

See I just never knew so many good things and bad things would happen to me in life but at the end of the day I would still have joy. I just never knew two years ago February 27, 2012 I would undergo heart surgery at 37yrs old. I just never knew I would write out my own obituary just in case I didn’t make it. I just never knew that I had to think about who was going to care of my children and grandchild  if I departed this world too soon.

The only thing I did know was that I gave my life to Jesus and I didn’t wait until I got sick to recognize I needed the Savior. So since we just never know, how about we choose to give God our life today because today could be the day that our soul is required of thee.

You Just Never Know.
