Psalm 55:12-14 The Message (MSG) says; This isn’t the neighborhood bully mocking me—I could take that. This isn’t a foreign devil spitting invective—I could tune that out. It’s you! We grew up together! You! My best friend! Those long hours of leisure as we walked arm in arm, God a third party to our conversation. Many of us are dealing with fake friends and real enemies and it hurts because the person that hurt us isn’t someone we just met. If we be honest with ourselves, we really want hurt, harm, and danger to come upon them, but we’re too scared to pray that prayer. Before we become so self-righteous, we need to see if we are the fake friend, or the real enemy. Sometimes it’s not the other person, it’s us. Sometimes, we are the one’s that people want to pray hurt, harm, and danger on, because we ran our mouths too much, or became disrespectful in some way. Have you ever realized that fake friends are meant to distract you and enemies are meant to draw you closer to God? When dealing with something like this, you need to seek God and ask him for clarity in the situation. When God answers you, don’t tune him out if he reveals that you are the fake friend or the real enemy.
Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
