Today I was driving a friend home and he just started complaining about how he should have never joined the military, how he’s ready to leave this duty station and so on, and so on. I couldn’t take it anymore; so I told him to stop complaining and count your blessings. I told him, thank God that you have a job that you are able to put two kids through college. We should never get so full of ourselves that someone has to remind us of how blessed we are.
All of the people that God allowed Moses to lead out of Egypt did not make it to the promise land because they were complaining. God allowed them to die first. Also, the children of Israel complaining held up their blessing; what should have taken a few days, took 40yrs. What are you holding up because or your complaints? Some of you should have been healed, but you’re too busy complaining about the hospital and the doctors; yet, you don’t have a medical degree. Some of you should have been promoted; but you keep complaining about the company and the mangers; yet, you don’t have the skills to be in a leadership position. Some of you should have been further along in life, but you’re too busy complaining how other races are holding you down; yet, you’re doing nothing to pick yourself up. You see how complaining holds you back? Stop complaining.
Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
