Stop Complaining

Today I was driving a friend home and he just started complaining about how he should have never joined the military, how he’s ready to leave this duty station and so on, and so on. I couldn’t take it anymore; so I told him to stop complaining and count your blessings. I told him, thank God that you have a job that you are able to put two kids through college. We should never get so full of ourselves that someone has to remind us of how blessed we are.

All of the people that God allowed Moses to lead out of Egypt did not make it to the promise land because they were complaining. God allowed them to die first. Also, the children of Israel complaining held up their blessing; what should have taken a few days, took 40yrs. What are you holding up because or your complaints? Some of you should have been healed, but you’re too busy complaining about the hospital and the doctors; yet, you don’t have a medical degree. Some of you should have been promoted; but you keep complaining about the company and the mangers; yet, you don’t have the skills to be in a leadership position. Some of you should have been further along in life, but you’re too busy complaining how other races are holding you down; yet, you’re doing nothing to pick yourself up. You see how complaining holds you back? Stop complaining.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Talk Bad About Your Pennies

I was speaking to a lady one day and asked her about her job. She said my job doesn’t make any money. I quickly replied oh you do volunteer work. She said no I only make pennies.

I then asked her, doesn’t your daughter go to private school and you just bought a house? She replied yes. I told her you must make a pretty penny then, and others would love to have the pennies you make.

I explained to this lady that she applied for the job, interviewed for the job, was told what the job paid, was offered the job, and excepted the job.

So why did she think the pennies would change to dollars because she accepted pennies. She had no answer.

If we stop and thank God for the small amount and bless Him with the little. He won’t have a problem giving us the big amount.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Are You FAT

Do you consider yourself a FAT person?

Faithful- to whatever God has called you to do no matter how small or large the task

Available- are you available and dependable even when it’s not your turn to shine. Can you work behind the scenes and let someone else’s light shine without saying what you did to help make it happen

Teachable- are you too old to learn something new? Do you feel like I’ve been there, done that, I got a t-shirt to prove it? Do you look at the person who is trying to teach you something and say to yourself, you’re kidding me right, go sit down somewhere or who are you to tell me something you’re not all that?

FAT people don’t mind being Faithful, Available, or Teachable. They understand that God could have chosen anyone to accomplish His mission but he chose them. They don’t mind letting someone else get the glory because they know where their reward is coming from. They don’t need their names in lights because they realize that they are servants and not celebrities. FAT people don’t care whose doing the teaching as long as they are learning and can apply what they’ve learned to everyday living.

So I ask you again are you a FAT person? If not its not to late to gain some spiritual weight and if you are, make sure to leave those spiritual diets alone they only make you a SLIM person.

Shady
Lazy
Immature
Mediocre

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
