Count Your Blessings

When we begin to count our blessings, we don’t have time to complain. It’s hard to do both at the same time. Everyday God blesses us with something. He blesses us with life, health, strength, family, jobs, love, compassion, grace, forgiveness, etc… I could go on and on. Stop looking at your neighbors blessings and thank God for the blessings he’s bestowed upon you. When we look at other people blessings that’s when we start to complain and compare. We start to tell God how he failed when it came to blessing us. We start to tell God how ungrateful we really are, and right after we show our ungratefulness; we turn right around and ask God for something else. In counting our blessings, we show our gratitude to God and our respect for God. Lastly, when we count our blessings, we find out that we are more blessed than we thought.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

When People Think You Need Them

Isn’t it something how you can be cool with someone, and as soon as they find out you need them or think you might ask them for help; they begin to act like they’re better than you. They forget they once needed help or if they keep living the tables may turn.

Instead of getting mad with them for treating you bad; let them know, that you were giving them a chance to be a blessing to you. But now they have blocked their blessing and God will use someone else. I know we’ve never looked at the situation like that and before we start saying amen, let’s see what God has to say.

God says we act the same way when it comes to him and the church. We think the church needs us so we hold our tithes, offerings and gifts back thinking if we don’t help the church, then the church will fail. We act like God need us to praise him, forgetting he got some rocks on standby in case we don’t want to praise him. We act like the choir won’t be anointed if our solo isn’t sung, not realizing up above our heads is music in the air. We have God so twisted that we treat him like a mere man.

But check this out, we were not God’s first choice. He chose the Jews first and he adopted us. So, the next time we become so ugly thinking somebody need us. Know that help will be provided whether or not you have positioned yourself to be used.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Is It Really A Blessing From God

The bible says; the blessings of The Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow. So when people prophesy to us that God’s going to bless us with a house, car, money, land etc… Is it really a blessing from God?

I’m asking this because I was wondering when I get the house and car, did God just bless me with debt? Or did I just bless myself with debt? When I get the money, did God just bless me with the money, with a job that I work so many hours that I can’t enjoy the fruits of my labor or did I just bless myself and knew from the get go that this job would take all of my time but I get paid a lot.

If it’s truly God’s blessings, then why do we work so hard to keep it and why do we worry so much about affording it.

Please comment back because this was a thought I just had, and I would like to know what you think.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Count Your Blessings

Instead of always complaining count your blessings. When you start counting your blessings, you will find that you really don’t have anything to complain about.

Start with the blessings you take for granted; like your life, health, being in your right mind and strength. Then start getting very specific.

Counting your blessings makes you take notice that our God is an awesome God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Living In The Overflow

What does overflow blessings look like to you? Is it your bills being paid, food on the table, a new car, a new house or perhaps a lot of money?

Or is it, being able to hear the voice of God and following him?

Whatever you consider your overflow blessing to be; always thank and praise God for it. Don’t look down at anyone else because their not living in their overflow yet, for The Lord giveth and The Lord taketh away.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Stop Talking Yourself Out Of Your Blessing

Do you keep telling God how much you don’t deserve to be blessed by him? Do you keep telling him how unworthy you are?

When you do this you clearly show how much you don’t understand the magnitude of God’s love for you.

He knows his children act up but he also knows that holding it over their head won’t make them any better; so he loves them unconditionally and he blesses whomever he chooses.

So stop talking yourself out of your blessing and thank God he looks beyond your faults and see your needs.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

God’s Blessings vs. My Blessings

God’s blessings maketh rich and add no sorrow.
My blessings make me rob Peter to pay Paul.

God’s blessings allow you to freely share.
My blessings make you think twice about who you are sharing with.

God’s blessings allow you to be secure.
My blessings always have you wondering when is it going to be stripped away.

Instead of always trying to bless yourself, realize this is only a temporary fix leading you down a slippery slope. Allow God to bless you because no good thing will he withhold from you and his blessings won’t make you broke, sick, or out there like a ship without a sail.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Be Grateful

When we look at our situations, our finances, and our lifestyles we tend to compare them to other people’s situations, finances and lifestyles and we tend to become ungrateful.

We stop thanking God for what we have and what he’s done and begin complaining about everything we don’t have.

Do we ever think of the small things we should be grateful for? You know the things we take for granted like:

Being able to dress ourselves
Being in our right mind
Being able to use the bathroom without assistance
Having the activity of our limbs

When you think of these things, your situations really don’t matter. Having all the money but not having the things that I mentioned above earlier don’t matter, having the lavish lifestyle really don’t amount to a hill of beans.

Be grateful for everything you have and everything that God has not allowed you to have.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

His Hands Are Bigger Than Mine

Stop trying to hold things in your hands, Gods hands are much bigger and better. His hands have a way of making things alright no matter how detrimental the situation looks.

In my hands my child is just nurtured but in Gods hands my child is delivered.

In my hands debt is paid monthly but in Gods hands I’m debt free.

In my hands money just pays for things and is put into the offering tray at church but in Gods hands it rebukes the devour for my sake.

In my hands the situation seems to be just enough but in Gods hands the situation provides more than enough.

So take everything out of your hands today and place it in Gods hands and watch Him work miracles.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Rock The Boat Baby

Has God told you to do anything and instead of obeying Him you ran away? Not knowing that running away would not only cause problems for you but for those that are around you. Has God ever told you to bless someone and perhaps you felt that God must have made a mistake because that very person didn’t deserve to be blessed because you know their lifestyle?

How many boats have you rocked and innocent people became casualties of your disobedience because they didn’t have on life vest and you were not honest enough to tell them you are running from God?

If you have ever rocked the boat and didn’t realize you took casualties with you, repent and get busy doing the work God gave you to do and stay obedient to God.

From this day forward when someone always want to be around you, ask them are they running from God and do you need to put on your life vest for if they rock the boat baby you may fall overboard.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing
