When You Don’t Want What You Begged God For

Have you ever begged God for something? You just had to have it and you became consumed with this thing or person, and although God knew what was best for you, he allowed you to have that very thing or person. Now that you have what you’ve begged God, do you  for you he said no?

You begged for that job, now you hate waking up and going to it every day. You hate your boss, you can’t stand your co-workers and you constantly complain about the pay. You begged for that man or that woman and now you’re homicidal because you can’t trust them. You’re up all day and night wondering what they are doing, praying that you catch them messing up. You’ve become border line psychotic thinking of ways to get them back for hurting you. You begged for that car when you really needed a house, and now you’re robbing Peter to pay Paul to keep up the payments. Oh, how you wish you didn’t have to deal with these things or these people.

We say we trust God, but when God rules out of our favor we begin to beg him for things that mean us no good. At the time we can’t see it, but God knows all. So, it is in those times that God will give us a very expensive lesson that none of us are really ready, willing, or can afford to pay. Then our prayers become; Lord if you get me out of this job, out of this relationship, out of these payments, I will never go back. So, now we’re lying to God, because as soon as he gets us out, we go right back into a similar or sometimes the same situation.

Will God get us out of what we begged for? Yes, but in his time. Meanwhile, we have to learn to take God at his word and accept the answers that we don’t like.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

When I’m Not Around

I often tell my kids that they are suppose to be obedient even when I’m not around. I asked my youngest daughter why doesn’t she like to listen to other people, and she replied; because their not my momma. I explained to her, they may not be me but they are in authority and it’s not nice or quite for kids to be disrespectful. She said, mom I know but they are just not you and I only want you telling me what to do.

I thought about that and and said to myself, this is how Christians act. We only want God to speak to us. We don’t want the pastor, the boss, our spouses or anyone else in authority telling us what to do. However, the bible tells us to obey those that have rule over you. So now, we no longer have the testimony, I’m grown and you don’t pay my bills so you can’t tell me what to do.

Because we can’t physically see Jesus, doesn’t mean we can act any kind of way. Because we think Jesus is not around, doesn’t mean we can say anything we want. We need to act right at all times, sadly when we act up outside of the church we bring that same behavior to the church, and have the nerve to say this church got problems. It’s because we keep misbehaving thinking God is not around.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Don’t Act Like That

Don’t act like you are better than others because you make more money than they do. Realize you are only two weeks away from being in their shoes.

Don’t act like you have never been a sinner and have never messed up after you got saved. Don’t turn your nose up at others in the church because you have a title and an anointing. The Lord giveth and The Lord taketh away.

Don’t act like you have never had to struggle in life or never had to ask anyone for help. For it’s only by the Lords mercies that you are not consumed.

When we act like this we are not letting our light shine and we are giving Jesus a bad reputation.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

I Hear You Loud & Clear

The other day when I was communing with the Lord he told me to watch where I tread. I said ok and thought no more about it. A few days later I ran into some friends that belong to a Greek Organization and they were selling tickets to a dance for a scholarship fundraiser. I thought nothing of it and purchased a ticket.

After walking away God brought back to my remembrance be careful where you tread. I said Lord I hear you.

What the Lord was saying when he reminded me to watch where I tread was that I am not going to the party and that I just gave a donation.

Going to a party is not bad but when God says no then I must listen.

How many of you reading this has had God tell you something and you heard him loud and clear? Did you obey him or did you act like he really wasn’t talking to you?

Hear The Lord loud and clear today and it will save you a whole lot of heartache in the end.
