A True Friend

Do you consider yourself a true friend? Are you willing to tell your friends the truth at the risk of ruining the relationship?

Yesterday I had a conversation with my friend about his salvation. I didn’t know how he was going to take it, although we have been friends for years and he knows I’m a preacher. However, the burning feeling I had to talk to him about it wouldn’t let me hold my peace. After all, he is in a war zone and I would be remiss to be his friend and never talk about having a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Jesus is a true friend, he doesn’t mind telling us the truth in love to keep us out of hell. Don’t get mad when Jesus tells you the truth about yourself or if you are fortunate enough to have a friend tell you the truth about yourself.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Rod Of Correction

Do you still love God when he corrects you? Is your love unconditional for God like his love is for you?

The rod of correction doesn’t feel good but it is for our good, because without correction we wouldn’t respect God.

God corrects those whom he love. Just as parents don’t allow their children to misbehave and get away with it, God won’t allow us to get away with our misbehaving either.

Somehow we feel as though we have gotten away with sin when correction doesn’t come right away and once correction finally comes we have the woe is me syndrome.

Let’s learn how to take our correction and swallow our pride and know that God truly loves us.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
