Don’t Stop What You’re Doing

Good morning. We know that we are living in some evil times and we are living in the last days. Nevertheless, we must continue in prayer. God never told us to stop serving him, to sell all of our stuff, quit our jobs and go into hiding; the Bible declares we are to work while it’s day, we are not to walk around in fear. We are to pray like never before. We are to show one another love. We are to share with others what we’ve been blessed with. We are to keep spreading the good news about Christ because it’s not his will that any shall perish.

1 Peter 4:7-8
The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

Let Your Heart Rejoice In The Lord

Good morning. We should always keep a praise on our lips and a song in our hearts for the Lord. Our relationship with the Lord should excite us and make us want to talk about him to whoever will listen. No matter what we face in this life we should exult his name daily. Never stop seeking the Lord. Never stop trusting in the Lord. Being in the presence of God gives us peace, safety, assurance, and security; we can’t find this in no one or nothing else.

1 Chronicles 16:9-11
Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the LORD. Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.

Don’t Take Grace For Granted

Good morning. We must be mindful that we don’t take God’s grace for granted. It’s great that when we do sin we can repent and get back in right standing with the Lord. However, we shouldn’t willingly sin knowing his grace will cover us, for we don’t know if we will have the opportunity to live to repent. We must obey God to the fullest and when we find ourselves in sin repent, get back up, and stand on the word. We should not allow people to hold our sins over our head and make us think we cannot go to God and ask for forgiveness, that’s a trick of Satan.

Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Use Good Judgement When Helping Others Financially

Good morning. As much as we like people and love our family members we are not supposed to co-sign debt for them. If we’re going to bless them with some money that’s fine; if we’re going to loan them some money that’s fine too. However, if they can’t afford to purchase what they’re trying to purchase or their credit is bad we are not to put ourselves on the hook for them. God wants us to use wisdom in every situation. We cannot allow anyone to guilt us into co-signing loans for them, if we do we have used poor judgment, and are setting ourselves up for a fall.

Proverbs 17:18
It’s poor judgment to guarantee another person’s debt or put up security for a friend.

Don’t Mock The Poor

Good morning. It’s only by the grace of God that we have a roof over our heads, food on the table, and clothes on our backs. Just as surely as the Lord has blessed us he can take it all away. We should never get high-minded and think the tables can’t turn and we’re the one’s asking for a handout. Never look down on the poor. Never gloat at someone’s misfortune. We don’t know how and why a person is poor, living on the streets, or have the hardest time making it in life. We just need to show them the love of God. We need to be careful how we treat people who has less than us. Today that can have less and tomorrow we could be asking them to share their piece of the sidewalk.

Proverbs 17:5
Those who mock the poor insult their Maker; those who rejoice at the misfortune of others will be punished.

The Right Treasure

Good morning. Storing up treasures in heaven is not just about paying tithes, it’s also about total obedience to God. God is not just looking at what we do with our money he’s looking at how we live our lives. Are we fulfilling our purpose? Are we walking in our destiny? Are we being intentional about our relationship with God? We have to figure out what we treasure most; whether it be earthly treasures or heavenly treasures. Whatever we treasure most that’s what we fix our hearts on. Our prayers should be; Lord I only want to desire what you desire for my life – Lord I only want to treasure what you treasure. We must always remember one of these days all of this earthly stuff we value will pass away and only what we do for Christ will last.

Matthew 6:19-21
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Don’t Condemn Other Believers

Good morning. As believers we should encourage and lift up other believers. We shouldn’t want to see another believer fall. We all have faults and flaws, and we all will give an account to God. We are not pleasing to God when we talk negatively about other believers and when we become stumbling blocks for them. So, for the rest of our days our will should be to please God and to be helpers one to another.

Romans 14:10-13
So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For the Scriptures say,
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

We Are In Control

Good morning. As children of God we should never have the testimony that
“I can’t control myself”. When we have the power of the Holy Spirit residing on the inside of us; we can do all things through Christ Jesus. We can control what we say, we can control how we use our bodies, we can control who we hang around, and we can control our thoughts by bringing them under the subjection to God. Now that we are in Christ, sin is no longer our puppet master. We must submit ourselves wholeheartedly to God and let him get the glory out of our lives.

Romans 6:12-13
Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

Be Careful When Others Praise You

Good morning. When people give us praise we need to direct their praise to God. We should never let people think we’re all that. It’s in God that we live, move, and have our being. We walk on dangerous ground when we try to take God’s glory; it could get us killed. So, be careful how you respond to other people praise.

Acts 12:20-23
Now Herod was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon. So they sent a delegation to make peace with him because their cities were dependent upon Herod’s country for food. The delegates won the support of Blastus, Herod’s personal assistant, and an appointment with Herod was granted. When the day arrived, Herod put on his royal robes, sat on his throne, and made a speech to them. The people gave him a great ovation, shouting, “It’s the voice of a god, not of a man!” Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck Herod with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died.

You Can’t Buy Salvation

Good morning. We cannot buy our salvation. When judgement day comes no amount of money can buy reconciliation with God. God requires obedience to his will and his word. When it’s time to settle our accounts with God; he will look upon our hearts not our bank accounts. Therefore, don’t trust in your riches but make sure your soul is anchored in the Lord.

Proverbs 11:4
Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.
