God See’s All

Good morning. God can reach us anytime and anywhere. He’s the God of all heaven and earth. He knows every nook and cranny of the earth. There’s no hiding from him, there’s no secrets from him. We cannot get over on God therefore, we should stop trying. We serve the true and living God. It is impossible to think we can do anything and act any kind of way, and that God won’t take notice. The Bible declares its a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Let’s no test God, for surely, we will come out on the losing end.

Jeremiah 23:23-24
Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the LORD. “No, I am far away at the same time. Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the LORD.

Live According To The Word Not The World

Good morning. When we try to be like the world, we think like the world. The Bible declares let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus. The only way we can have a Christ-like mind and not delve into conspiracy theories and old wives fables is to study the word of God. What we put in us will come out of us. If we’re putting the word inside of us, the word will come out. If we’re putting the world inside of us, the world’s thoughts will come out of us. The word lets us know God is powerful, therefore, we don’t have to fear man but we should have a reverential fear of the Lord. The word lets us know God is holy, therefore, we must be holy . When we live according to the word, the world can’t touch us. For no weapon formed against us shall prosper.

Isaiah 8:11-13
The LORD has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said,
“Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.

Praise God No Matter What

Good morning. Out of a hard place David still gave God praise. When his life was in danger and people wanted to kill him, he still gave God praise. David never allowed his circumstances to dictate his praise and worship and we shouldn’t either. We should praise God when we’re up and when we’re down, when we have money and when we’re broke, when our soul is joyful and when we’re downtrodden. God is worthy to be praised in all situations. So on today, no matter what we’re facing, we have to give God praise.

Psalms 34:1-3
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

You Can Run But You Can’t Hide

Good morning. Have we ever gave God the wrong response when he called us to do something? By now we should know the only Response to give God is; “Yes Lord.” Trying to run away from an assignment God gives us is frivolous because he’s all seeing and all knowing. Trying to lie our way out of assignment is detrimental because a liar won’t tarry in the sight of God. The best thing we can do is avail ourselves to the Lord and be on the ready for when he calls.

Jonah 1:1-3
The LORD gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the LORD. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the LORD by sailing to Tarshish.

Think Before You Speak

Good morning. When we enter into the house of God we should have an attitude of being open and ready to listen to God. God is sovereign and and requires our worship to be sincere and meaningful. Making foolish vows doesn’t impress God, so we should think about what we’re going to ask God or promise God before we speak.

Ecclesiastes 5:1-2
As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut. It is evil to make mindless offerings to God. Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few.

Don’t Complain About Growth

Good morning. Our trials, tribulations, and struggles are to help us grow. We really don’t know the depth of our character until it is tested. It’s easy for us to praise the Lord when we are in good health, have enough money in the bank, our households are in tact, and our friends are plenty. But when our health fails, our money is funny, our households are falling apart, and our friends are few; we should see this as an opportunity to grow. God never leaves us alone during our trying times. He’s standing close by to help us grow. In these trying times our prayers should be; “Lord help me to endure and teach me what I need to learn, please don’t let me stunt my own growth with murmuring and complaining.”

James 1:2-4
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Shake It Off

Good morning. Not everyone wants to hear the truth about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Although they put up a compelling argument as to why they believe differently; we who know the truth must stay faithful. Even when it seems like everyone is jumping on the unbelief bandwagon, we must stand on the word and stand for holiness and righteousness. We will not stop proclaiming the truth about the word because people don’t want to hear it. Instead, we will speak what God tells us to speak and we will go where God tells us to go. For the Bible declares; If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave. You can be sure that on Judgment Day they’ll be mighty sorry—but it’s no concern of yours now.

2 Timothy 4:3-5
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

No Time For Entertainment

Good morning. Do we ever hear a good sermon and take it at face value or do we go back and search the scriptures for ourselves? The Bible declares; my people perish for a lack of knowledge. We all like good preaching but we should demand truthful preaching of the word. That’s why it’s important for us to know the word and study the word for ourselves, so that when someone gets up to preach we will know exactly what they’re talking about. The Bible declares; study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The Bible also declares that all scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. We don’t have time for someone to tickle our ears and entertain us, we need the truth of the word of God.

Acts 17:11
And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.

Oh Give Thanks Unto The Lord

Good morning. We have so much to be thankful for this year. God has been good to us, he’s been merciful to us. We still are in our right minds and have the activity of our limbs. People are seeing us and not viewing us; that’s enough to give God praise. That’s enough to tell the world what a mighty God we serve. God has supplied all our needs according to his riches and glory, for that we should say thank you. Not only has he supplied our needs, he’s given us some of our wants; for that we should say thank you. He’s given us peace in the midst of the storm and for that we should say thank you. Today, we don’t have time to complain and murmur. If we’re going to open our mouths it should be to give God a praise. Oh! give thanks unto the Lord for he is good.

1 Chronicles 16:8-10
Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name;
rejoice, you who worship the LORD.

No Time To Be Selfish

Good morning. Are we still acting selfish and think the world revolves us? Do we have the me, myself, and I attitude? As children of God the focus should not be on us but it should be about thinking of others more than we think of ourselves. When we are followers of Jesus our mindsets should line up with his. He never tried to impress anyone. He always humbled himself. This is the attitude we should have. Let’s show others we’re thinking about them today and that we have a genuine interest about their concerns. Let’s not tell them I’ll pray for you, let’s actually pray with them. Let’s not tell them wait on God to provide, when God has given us more than enough to help them out. Let’s show people that we really are children of God.

Philippians 2:3-8
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
