Take The Proper Precautions

Good morning. Taking the proper precautions doesn’t mean we don’t trust God, it means we’re using the common sense he gave us. Right now we’re in a pandemic and I hear a lot people saying that Christians don’t have faith. We have faith, and we’re following the guidelines that are set before us. Never let anyone guilt you into acting foolishly. Never let anyone guilt you into putting your health at risk by saying; “I thought you were a Christian.” In trusting God, we can also use the tools he gave us down here to stay safe and live a healthy life.

Proverbs 27:12
A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

True Friends

Good morning. When we need someone to talk to, someone that will tell us the truth no matter how much it will hurt us; wouldn’t we like a friend to tell us? We can take real counsel from a true friend. For, a true friend will only speak what we need to hear , not what we want to hear. A true friend won’t fall out with us even if we get mad at them for speaking the truth. We aught to thank God we have people in our lives that are willing to correct us, love us, and keep us from walking in error.

Proverbs 27:9
The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.

Remember The Goodness Of The Lord

Good morning. We must always remember what the Lord has done in our lives. When we start to feel down and want to complain, we need to take a minute and recall the goodness of the Lord. The church used to sing a song; “when I look back over my life and think things over, I can truly say that I’ve been blessed, I have a testimony.” We all have a testimony and the Bible declares we are overcome by the testimony of others. So don’t be afraid to share your testimony, for in sharing, we are helping someone else go through their storm.

Psalms 111:1-4
Praise the LORD!
I will thank the LORD with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them. Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD!

A Continual Praise

Good morning. How often do we share the goodness of God? Do we still get excited about all the great things he’s done? God is great and greatly to be praised. When we look back over our lives and we don’t have to look far, we can see how God has kept us, delivered us, favored us, and yes, he’s even disciplined us. This is great news to go and tell the word. The Bible declares; let everything that have breath praise the Lord. Let’s give God all the praise, glory, and honor on today. Praise him for what he’s done, praise him for what he’s doing right now in the midst of everything we have going on, and praise him in advance for what he’s going to do. David said; I will bless the Lord at all times and his praises shall continually be in my mouth. Will we put a continual praise in our mouths for the Lord? Will we shout now for victory before the battle is over? We can let nothing or no one stop our praise.

Psalms 105:1-2
Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.

Don’t Turn Your Back On The Poor

Good morning. The Bible declares the poor will be among us always. With that being said; it doesn’t mean we are to overlook poor people. We should never treat the poor with disdain realizing it could be us. We should be kind to the poor, help the poor whenever possible, and thank God that misfortune hasn’t dawned our doorstep. When we’ve done it unto the least, we’ve done it unto God. Furthermore, God see’s what we do and he will reward us for not looking the other way and turning our backs on the poor.

Psalms 41:1-3
Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The LORD rescues them when they are in trouble. The LORD protects them and keeps them alive. He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies. The LORD nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health.

God Provides

Good morning. God’s word is true; he will not have his seed begging bread. No matter what we’re facing God’s word declares we won’t go hungry. God knows we need food to survive and to live, and he’s going to supply all of our needs. Now, we may not get the exact kind of food we want but we can’t complain that he’s supplied food for our table. Jesus taught the disciples to pray for just enough bread for today; so we do have to worry about tomorrow’s food, God already has enough supply.

Proverbs 10:3
The LORD will not let the godly go hungry, but he refuses to satisfy the craving of the wicked.

Wisdom

Good morning. Society has made us think the more material things we have, the better off we are. So, we’ve worked hard, we do overtime and make us much money as we possibly can. We’ve obtained material things and some of us are not happy, some of us lost what we’ve obtained, and some of us are not satisfied, so, we work even harder to gain more stuff. Did it ever dawn on us that stuff is not what we need? We need wisdom. Wisdom will teach us to work smarter not harder. Wisdom will teach us happiness is not found in material things but in God. Wisdom will teach us, we can toil long and hard to make money and none of it can come with us when we die. We must ask ourselves; do we want material stuff or do we want wisdom? We don’t have to work for wisdom, all we have to do is ask God for it.

Proverbs 8:11
For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it.

God Will Bring Us Out Victorious

Good morning. We have to let our faith override our fear. The God we serve is faithful. The God we serve will protect us, keep us and cover us. No one can pluck us out of the hand of God. David declared; “if I make my bed in hell there you are”, so have no fear. No matter what’s going on around us, we have to speak faith. No matter what it looks like we have to believe faith. God is not a man that he shall lie. So, hold on to God’s unchanging hand and watch him bring us out victorious.

Isaiah 41:10
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Do Business The Honest Way

Good morning. When doing business with others we need to be honest. God doesn’t want us trying to get over on anyone. That also means, we shouldn’t always be looking for the “hook-up”. When we place ourselves in the shoes of business owners, we’ll find that that’s their livelihood; and if their livelihood is tampered with it can cause calamity for them. We get upset when someone tries to screw us over when it comes to our money, therefore, we shouldn’t do it to anyone else. Besides, God sees us and we will not be blessed, and not even enjoy money or material things when we’ve gotten it dishonestly.

Proverbs 11:1
The LORD detests the use of dishonest scales, but he delights in accurate weights.

Embrace Constructive Criticism

Good morning. No one likes to be criticized. However, we should welcome constructive criticism because it helps to make us better. There is always a more excellent way to things and it’s good to have people point that out to us. We shouldn’t be so quick to get angry and all in our feelings when someone makes a constructive observation of our work. Many Christians say; “I’m working in a spirit of excellence”, well that begins with being able to hear constructive criticism. The true question is, do we not like to hear constructive criticism or do we not like the person it’s coming from? We don’t know who God will use to help us on this journey, and many of us will miss our blessing because of who God sent to help us.

Proverbs 25:12
To one who listens, valid criticism is like a gold earring or other gold jewelry.
