Stay Focused

Good morning. In this season we must stay focused. We don’t have time to wonder about what someone else is doing. We must place our feet on a straight path and stay the course no matter what it looks like. We have to learn how to blot out distractions that are sure to come. Satan will try everything he can to knock us off course. That’s why, we we have to watch as well as pray and keep our eyes and mind stayed on Jesus.

Proverbs 4:25-27
Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

Ask God For Wisdom

Good morning. The Bible declares if we lack wisdom we can ask God for it and he will give it to us. Wisdom will teach us how to respond to people, how to have good judgment and how to be quiet when we really want to speak. Wisdom will carry us farther than money and intellect. We should not hesitate to ask God for wisdom on a daily basis; for his wisdom is what’s best. Being wise in our own selves makes us fools and destruction is sure to follow.

Proverbs 4:7
Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.

If You Can Help Today, Don’t Put It Off Till Tomorrow

Good morning. There’s no need in putting off for tomorrow what we can do today. When people ask us for help, they need help right then and there. Many of us know what it feels like to be in want, need help, muster up enough courage to ask for help, only to be told; come back tomorrow, when the person we’re asking has the means or the resources to help us today. By procrastinating to help people today, we can cause them to lose hope, to lose faith and to feel like the world and the church is against them. Let us do better as Christians. The same love and compassion and help that God shows us, let us show that to someone else.

Proverbs 3:28
If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say, “Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.”

Common Sense And Bible Smarts Go Hand-In-Hand

Good morning. Common sense is a precious commodity now days. You’d think many people would use it, however, when we see some of the decisions that are being made we understand that common sense isn’t very common. As children of God, we can’t just have Bible smarts; we have to use the common sense and the spirit of discernment that God has given us. It will keep us from making the wrong decisions. It will keep us from harming others. It will keep us from making a disgrace of ourselves. We won’t have to toss and turn at night and be haunted by the decisions we’ve made, if we choose not to do what’s popular and what the majority of everyone else is doing; and do what we know is right and conduct our business with the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 3:21-23
My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them,
for they will refresh your soul.
They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble.

God’s Love In Punishment

Good morning. We need not get upset when we sin and the Lord dishes out punishment. We serve a God of order and he doesn’t allow his children to get away with living out of order. We should count it a blessing that God loves us so much, he’s willing to correct us. The day the Lord let’s us do whatever we want to and no correction comes, know that he’s turned us over to a reprobate mind; and that’s when we know we’re in for a world of hurt, destruction and sin that will usher us straight to hell.

Proverbs 3:11-12
My child, don’t reject the LORD’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the LORD corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.

Honor God With Your Life And Your Money

Good morning. God is our resource and he gives us resources to take care of our daily business. Since he provides for us, we shouldn’t have a problem giving back to him. No child of God should have the testimony that they can’t afford to pay their tithes; that’s a lie from the pit of hell. We choose to pay everything else, then make God an option. Furthermore, we have the audacity to ask God for increase, when we won’t even honor him with what we already have. God has to be a priority in our lives and our money. If you claim to be a child of God and you’re not honoring God with the resources he’s given you; the Bible declares, you’re a robber and a thief. Think about that, you’re stealing and robbing from God. Now ask yourself; how long do I think I’m going to get away with this? In society, when we steal we go to jail. As a Christian, when we steal from God we’re cursed with a cursed. If nothing is going right in your life, check the way you honor God with your money.

Proverbs 3:9-10
Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.
Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.

Stop Trying To Force People To Take Notice Of You

Good morning. We don’t always need to be the focus or the center of attention. Trying to get noticed by prominent people is a burden and something God didn’t call us to do. When we do things God’s way; our gifts will make room for us. We’d be surprise who’s taking notice of us when we stop trying to force our will and let God’s will be done.

Proverbs 25:6
Don’t demand an audience with the king or push for a place among the great.

Sometimes You Have To Put People Out

Good morning. Sometimes you have to put people out of your life. The Bible declares; “how can two walk together unless they agree.” Now that we are living for the Lord, we can’t afford for anyone to hinder our relationship with him. When people can’t respect our new way of life and respect that we have to live by a standard of holiness, they have to go. No one is more important than God. We cannot afford to flirt with, play with or tiptoe around sin. Come out from amongst them and live.

Psalms 119:115
Get out of my life, you evil-minded people,
for I intend to obey the commands of my God.

Hold On

Good morning. Do you ever feel like no matter what you do it’s never enough? Do you feel like sometimes you don’t know what you’re doing, where you’re going, or what God is up to in your life? Do you feel like God what’s the use? I’m trying and trying and nothing is working. Hold on! Continue to trust and obey God. Continue to stand on the promises of God. God knows right where we’re at, how we’re feeling and how hard it is to keep holding on, but He got us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He will never cause the righteous to be moved. We have to keep speaking life and and keep living the word knowing, something has to break in our lives.

Psalms 119:109
My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your instructions.

It’s In The Word

Good morning. The word of God will guide us, that’s why we need to read it, and meditate on it so we know what it says. The word of God gives us life and light. There’s no need for us to walk around with hung down heads or in darkness when we have the word of God at our fingertips. Our spirits can be revived through the word of God. Whatever we need, whatever we’re going through, whatever we’re feeling; there’s a remedy for it in the word.

Psalms 119:105
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
