Trouble Comes When We Surrender To God

Good morning. The moment we decide to get for real and surrender to the Lord, Satan will bring opposition. He will try and make us think we made a mistake choosing to serve the Lord with every obstacle he throws at us. Recognize him for who he is and what he does, and keep your mind stayed on Jesus. The Lord never promised us an easy life. He said he’ll protect us and deliver us in the time of trouble. Don’t believe the lies of the devil; that your life was better and without problems before surrendering to God. It’s better to be in trouble and have God on our side, than be in trouble and lost without him.

Psalms 119:94
I am yours; rescue me!
For I have worked hard at obeying your commandments.

The Word Will Keep Us

Good morning. There’s joy in the word. There’s peace in the word. There’s life in the word. The word can sustain us, calm us, and keep us from going off the deep end. Meditating on the word may not change our situations but, it will change how we look at our situations. Knowing that God has everything under control, should give us peace of mind. Knowing that trouble don’t last always, should help us weather the storms life. And, knowing that our souls are anchored in Jesus, should help us not to be driven by every wind and doctrine.

Psalms 119:92
If your instructions hadn’t sustained me with joy, I would have died in my misery.

Great Is God’s Faithfulness

Good morning. The faithfulness of God that our grandparents and parents experienced, is the same faithfulness of God we experience. Our children and grandchildren will experience the same, for God changes not. That’s why it’s important that we let the next generation see us trusting God, worshiping God, praying to the true and living God, and praising God. We have to let them know this is the same God our ancestors worshipped. Great is His faithfulness.

Psalms 119:90
Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created.

Take A Stand

Good morning. Situations, circumstances and enemies shouldn’t dictate our obedience to the word of God. We don’t obey God’s word when it’s convenient for us. This is a daily walk with Christ. Some days will have its challenges, nevertheless, we must remain steadfast and unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord. Don’t be scared or ashamed to obey God in the midst of adversity. We have to take a stand for Christ or we’ll fall for Satan.

Psalms 119:87
They almost finished me off, but I refused to abandon your commandments.

God Will Deal With Our Enemies

Good morning. When people are out to get us we want justice. We want God to swoop down and deal with them swiftly and harsh. In fact, we start praying like David prayed; smote them Lord, knock them down where they stand Lord, make an example out of them Lord, etc. God will deal with those who set traps for his children. He will punish those who hurt his children. We just have to be patient and not take vengeance on them. We have to let the Lord have his perfect way. Because, he can do far more better than we could ever imagine.

Psalms 119:84-85
How long must I wait? When will you punish those who persecute me? These arrogant people who hate your instructions have dug deep pits to trap me.

Waiting For The Promise To Manifest

Good morning. The promises of God are yes and amen. But, sometimes it takes forever for His promises to be manifested in our lives. If we be honest, sometimes we get down right discouraged when we hear about the promises of God manifesting in other people lives. We began to wonder, Lord where are you and sometimes we develop a spirit of offense against the Lord. When this happens, we need to repent and remember God works in his time. The good thing is, God is not a liar. If he said it, he will deliver.

Psalms 119:82
My eyes are straining to see your promises come true. When will you comfort me?

Waiting On God

Good morning. When waiting on the Lord, sometimes we can become tired and weary. It’s in those times we must cling to the word of God even more. God’s time schedule never seems to be in line with our schedules. Therefore, we become anxious, nervous and sometimes scared. When we find ourselves feeling like this, we must keep telling ourselves; God’s word is true. He didn’t bring me this far to leave me. His word said; he’ll never leave me nor forsake me. When we’re rehearsing the word of God in our hearing, we don’t have time for fear.

Psalms 119:81
I am worn out waiting for your rescue, but I have put my hope in your word.

Discipline

Good morning. No one likes to be disciplined. However, when we are disciplined and we learn from it, it could save our lives one day. Undisciplined people, causes heartache and headaches for themselves and their families. Undisciplined Christians, gives God and the church a bad name. Learn to accept discipline and live a good life. Or, keep doing whatever you like; for there’s a way that seems right unto a man but at the end there of is destruction.

Psalms 119:75
I know, O LORD, that your regulations are fair; you disciplined me because I needed it.

Anchor Yourself In The Lord

Good morning. The Bible declares we have to watch and pray. In other words, we have to be on guard duty. Our spirit, mind and soul needs protecting against the enemy. Satan is going to and fro seeing who he can devour. Just like a boat throws down it’s anchor so that the ship won’t be knocked to and fro; we must throw our spiritual anchor down, so that we can stand on the word of God no matter what. Sin lies at the door and if we’re not watching and praying, we can very well fall right back into our sinful ways. Therefore, we have to be mindful of who is in our circle, where we let our feet tread and where we let our thoughts wander off to.

Psalms 119:61
Evil people try to drag me into sin, but I am firmly anchored to your instructions.

Self Reflection

Good morning. Do we remember the first time we reflected on our life and the choices we made with our life? Upon reflecting, we came to the conclusion we needed the Lord in our lives. We came to the conclusion, that if we keep living this way; we’d either end up in jail or hell. We must not stop doing self-reflections now that we’re saved. We have not arrived. We have not made 100. We are all still works in progress.

Psalms 119:59
I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.
