Don’t Miss Your Opportunity To Give To The Lord

Good morning. God see’s everything we do. He see’s when we give to the poor and he see’s when we act like they’re invisible. There’s no need in despising poor people, because it could be us and truth be told; it was some of us until God turned our situations around. Never forget that time and chance happens to us all. When God gives us an opportunity to bless the poor, do it. In actuality, he’s giving us a chance to bless Him and He will repay us. The seasoned saints use to say; you can’t beat God’s giving no matter how hard you try. Never miss an opportunity to give to the Lord.

Proverbs 19:17
If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORD— and he will repay you!

Don’t Be Lazy

Good morning. There are no free lunches. Therefore, we have to get up and work. Getting a hand-up is alright, but looking for a handout because we’re too lazy to go out and work for it is wrong. People don’t go to work to pay for our laziness. They work to enjoy the fruits of their own labor. Being lazy will cause us to miss out on things naturally and cause us to miss out on what God has for us spiritually.

Proverbs 19:15
Lazy people sleep soundly,
but idleness leaves them hungry.

We Brought This On Ourselves

Good morning. It’s funny how we live our lives the way we want to and when things don’t turn out the way we planned, we get mad at others and God. Not once did we seek God while we were making all these plans. Not once did we ask for guidance while we were doing our own thing. Not once did we pray to the Lord while everything was going the way we wanted it to go. But, as soon as we hit a brick wall. As soon as we got our heart broke. As soon as we lost everything, we want to say; Lord where were you? Lord, why did you allow this to happen to me? Lord, why do people keeping using me, when I’ve been nothing but good to people? Whenever we cast our pearls to swine and whenever we leave God out of the equation, we’re asking for calamity and we deserve everything we get. God should never be an afterthought. He should always be the first person we consult about everything and we should check-in with Him regularly.

Proverbs 19:3
People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.

Give The Opponent No Opening

Good morning. It’s alright to be enthusiastic about something, but know what it is you’re enthusiastic about. Do your research, study it and then be prepared to speak about it. We tend to make hasty and costly decisions when we don’t do our homework on the very thing that excites us. This is how we give an opening to the opponent. The opponent cares nothing about our excitement, but the opponent knows if we’re not prepared, if we’ve neglected to do our part, then they an opening. Let’s shut them down before it even gets to that point.

Proverbs 19:2
Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes.

The Word Of God Is Priceless

Good morning. The word of God is priceless. When we disobey the word of God, it’s costly. The Word can take us farther than money ever can. It’s a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. When we follow the word we will be led unto the path of righteousness.

Proverbs 8:10
Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold.

God Provides

Good morning. When we have the Lord as our shepherd, that means we will lack nothing. We won’t lack peace, because He’ll provide it. We won’t lack safety, because He’ll provide it. We won’t lack food for our bodies, because He’ll provide it. We may not have a lot of money, but our bills will still get paid, because He’ll provide it. We don’t have to want for anything when we recognize who our shepherd is.

Psalms 23:1
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

The Word Is What’s Keeping Us

Good morning. Do you ever feel like you don’t know if you’re coming or if you’re going ? Do you feel like you’re just going through the motions and all these days are just running together? Do you ever feel like there has to be more to life than this? However we’re feeling about our lives and the situations we’re facing, we have to remain steadfast in the word. The word is the only thing that’s holding us together. The word is what’s keeping us sane. Trusting the word of God is the best thing we can do. Because, when we feel like our lives are just hanging in the balance, the word let’s us know the promises of God and the will of God for our lives. The word gives us hope, guides us and helps to keep us on the path of righteousness. Our lives maybe crazy. Chaos, commotion and confusion maybe all around us. Heaven and earth will pass away. But, the word of God will remain forever.

Psalms 119:109
My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your instructions.

Understand The Word

Good morning. When we have a real understanding of the word of God and the will of God for our lives, nothing else matters. It is so important that we study the word of God, so that we won’t be taking by every wind and doctrine. The more word we get on the inside of us. The more we will hate worldly ways. We are not living to please our flesh or man. We are living to please God and to do his will.

Psalms 119:104
Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life.

Don’t Play With Your Soul

Good morning. Do we do whatever it takes to obey the word of God? Or, do we do whatever we want to do and say; the Lord will just have to forgive me later? We have to obey the Lord on purpose. Satan is not playing with us; he comes to kill, steal and destroy. We play right into his hands when we willfully disobey God. Our souls are at stake. We don’t have time or the luxury to play with our souls. Just keep in mind, while we’re willfully sinning, we may not live to tell the story.

Psalms 119:101
I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your word.

The Word Makes Us Wiser Than Our Enemies

Good morning. The Bible declares that we should be as wise as serpents, but harmless as doves. Our enemies have a way of keeping us on our toes and making us be more alert. However, the word of God does that and more. When we meditate on the word and get it down on the inside and live the word, we gain wisdom. Wisdom will guide us. Wisdom will teach us how and when to speak on a matter. Wisdom will teach us how to operate in the presence of our enemies. We should never forgo reading and meditating on the word, for the word is true and the word will remain forever.

Psalms 119:98
Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide.
