The Power Of God’s Spoken Word

Good morning. Our God is so powerful all he has to do is speak and things happens. One word from the Lord can change our lives for better or worse. One word from the Lord can change the landscape of the world. Isn’t it good to know we serve a God that doesn’t need anyone’s help. We should never take the power of God for granted. We should never let anyone make us doubt the power of God. We’ve seen his power work in our lives. We’ve seen his word deliver us, rescue us, and set us free.

Psalms 33:9
For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command.

The God We Serve

Good morning. We serve a God that we can trust. We serve a God that’s true to his word. We serve a God that is not slack in his promises. We serve a God that his arm is not too short to save, nor his ears too dull to hear. Who wouldn’t serve a God like this?

Psalms 33:4
For the word of the LORD holds true, and we can trust everything he does.

Everyone Is Dealing With Something

Good morning. It may seem like you’re the only one going through struggles and difficulties in life, you’re not. Everyone is dealing with something. No matter your socioeconomic status, race, religious background, job status, etc., everyone is dealing with their own personal trials in life. So, let’s put away the pity-party and the woe it’s me syndrome, and get in the presence of God. In the presence of God is the fullness of joy.

1 Peter 5:9
Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.

Look At Yourself

Good morning. We have nobody to blame but ourselves when we exclude God from our lives. We cannot continue to make worldly decisions thinking we’re going to reap heavenly blessings. We cannot keep taking ungodly advice for spiritual situations. Before we go blaming God, Satan, and anybody else, let’s look within ourselves and see the role we’ve played in our own demise.

Proverbs 19:3
People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.

Doubts Will Come

Good morning. Let’s face it, no matter how saved we are sometimes doubt can creep into our minds. When we allow distractions to cloud our vision and invade our thoughts, we’ve just opened the door to doubts and wish-washy thinking. When this happens, we must get in the presence of the Lord so our mindset can shift from doubt to standing on the word of God.

Psalms 94:19
When doubts filled my mind,
your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer

Shelter In God

Good morning. So you know how to protect yourself. Are you watching and praying, making sure the enemy doesn’t do a sneak attack? When you take shelter in the Lord, you’ve found the safest place. If God hasn’t said; all clear, stay in the shelter he’s providing. Find peace and rest in his shelter.

Psalms 91:1
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

God Sends People To Help Us

Good morning. God uses people to help us in the time of need. Unfortunately, if we don’t like the people he’s using we refuse the help. We must understand when we do this, we’re refusing help from the Lord. How many blessings have we forfeited because we don’t like who God sent to bless us? We need to get over ourselves and realize where our help really comes from.

Psalms 121:2
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth!

Don’t Meddle In God’s Business

Good morning. Do we concern ourselves with the wrong things? Or do we know when something is too great for us and we leave it alone and let God handle it? Meddling in God’s business will take us on a journey that we can’t handle. He will expose how prideful and immature we really are. As we grow in God, we should learn that God doesn’t need or want our help; he’s God all by himself. There’s nothing too hard for him.

Psalms 131:1
LORD, my heart is not proud;
my eyes are not haughty. I don’t concern myself with matters too great or too awesome for me to grasp.

Our Sins Are Not Kept On File

Good morning. Without God’s forgiveness, we’re already in hell and don’t even know it. We aught to thank God he’s not like man. When God forgives us, he forgives and throws our sins in the sea of forgetfulness. He doesn’t keep reminding us of what we did wrong. He moves on and encourages us to go and sin no more. Therefore, repent, get back up, and do what’s pleasing in the sight of the Lord.

Psalms 130:3
LORD, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive?

Is It Really Worth It?

Good morning. Do we mind the company we keep? As believers are we calling everyone our friend? That may seem like a good idea to call everyone our friend, but is it a God idea? If our friends are unbelievers what do we really have in common? We can’t help who we work with, but we can help who fellowship with in our private time. Did you know we hinder being welcomed by God when we choose to yoke ourselves with unbelievers? Ask yourself; is it really worth it?

2 Corinthians 6:17
Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.
