Keep Your Vow To The Lord

Good morning. When we cry out to God we need to be ready to receive from him and be ready to pay the vow we vowed to him. If we tell God that we will serve him if he rescues us and he upholds his end of the deal, then we need to keep our word and serve him. We are only fooling ourselves if we’re telling ourselves; I’m only calling out to God until he answers me. God knows the intent of our hearts and we will get ourselves in trouble playing with the Lord.

Psalms 119:145-152
Qoph
I pray with all my heart; answer me, LORD! I will obey your decrees. I cry out to you; rescue me, that I may obey your laws. I rise early, before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words. I stay awake through the night, thinking about your promise. In your faithful love, O LORD, hear my cry; let me be revived by following your regulations. Lawless people are coming to attack me; they live far from your instructions. But you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true. I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever.

Be Receptive To Wisdom

Good morning. Everything in our society is honored more than wisdom. Using wisdom in everyday life is more effective than using wealth and success. Wise people often go unheard and we need to learn to be receptive to wisdom, no matter who it comes from.

Ecclesiastes 9:13-18
Here is another bit of wisdom that has impressed me as I have watched the way our world works. There was a small town with only a few people, and a great king came with his army and besieged it. A poor, wise man knew how to save the town, and so it was rescued. But afterward no one thought to thank him. So even though wisdom is better than strength, those who are wise will be despised if they are poor. What they say will not be appreciated for long. Better to hear the quiet words of a wise person
than the shouts of a foolish king. Better to have wisdom than weapons of war,
but one sinner can destroy much that is good.

Living With The Holy Spirit

Good morning. The Holy Spirit is God’s promise of eternal life for those who believe in him. The Spirit is in us now by faith, and by faith we are certain to live with Christ forever. When the Holy Spirit is working within us, we will believe that Jesus Christ is God’s son and that eternal life comes through him. The Holy Spirit empowers us to serve God and do his will. The Holy Spirit helps us through daily problems when we pray. As a Christian we cannot complete this journey without relying on the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:9-11
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

Wisdom and Grief

Good morning. Many of us have heard the saying ” if you’re looking for something you will find it”. Whenever we’ve heard that statement normally it was meant in a negative way. The things and information we find ourselves searching for in this life; do we really want to discover the information we’re seeking? We must ask ourselves what is the purpose for me searching out the things and information I do? Why must I know everything? There’s nothing wrong with being knowledgeable and having wisdom about things and people; just know that it comes at a price.

Ecclesiastes 1:18
The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow.

The Days Of Turning A Blinded Eye Are Over

Good morning. God watches how we align ourselves with unjust, unholy, and unrighteous people. He sees how we excuse their behavior by turning a blinded eye. We must stand for what is right and just. We don’t have to worry about if other people agree with us; we just have to make sure that God is pleased with us. It’s time to do right by God and stop trying to please man.

Psalms 82:2
How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked?

Let God Be God

Good morning. Sometimes it seems like people who are not living for the Lord get away with everything. It seems like God is not punishing them for their sins and their lives are carefree. We have to stop looking at what they are doing and keep our eyes focused on the Lord. The Lord knows what he’s doing and nothing gets passed the Lord. No one is getting away with anything. So let God be God; and let us serve him with gladness.

Psalms 37:7
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Don’t Hold The Children Back

Good morning. Children are just as valuable to the kingdom of God as adults. We should never push a child away from getting closer to Jesus. Jesus’ character drew children to him. Kids observe the character of adults and they know who’s real and who’s fake. If we are privileged enough to work with the children’s ministry in our various churches we should teach the kids everything about Jesus; instead of just sitting them in a room and giving them hotdogs and punch. We should take this opportunity to poor into them the word of God and be instrumental in giving them a godly foundation.

Matthew 19:13-15
One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left.

Remain Strong

Good morning. The trials we’re going through are but for a moment; there will be glory after this. Hold on, God sees everything that we are enduring. He sees our tears, he knows our fears, he feels what we feel and trust and believe he’s got us. These trials we face actually shows us what’s within us; it exposes how much or how little faith we have. We need to determine within ourselves what we’re going through will be a faith-builder. We have to determine within ourselves no matter what it looks or feels like we will trust the Lord. So let’s remain strong and endure unto the day of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:6-7
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Don’t Run Out Of Time

Good morning. God is in the restoration business. He wants to restore us back to him. He is giving us time to turn to him but we must hurry for time is running out; for none of us know when Jesus shall appear or when we will close our eyes in death. Let’s get back to the basics of serving God. Let’s get back to praying, fasting, and crying out to the Lord. God is compassionate and his love is unfailing. Let’s not waste anymore time being out of right relationship with God.

Joel 2:12-13
That is why the LORD says,
“Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.

Let God Arise And Our Enemies Be Scattered

Good morning. With injustices going on throughout the land please remember we serve a faithful God. He sees all and knows all and he will defend us. Yes it hurts when we feel like we’re not vindicated in our time but make no mistake about it; God’s timing is the best and he will set the record straight. He will rise up and subdue our enemies. No one is getting away with anything. We must trust that God knows how to deal with our enemies and the injustices of this world.

Psalms 12:5-8
The LORD replies, “I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do.” The LORD’s promises are pure, like silver refined in a furnace, purified seven times over. Therefore, LORD, we know you will protect the oppressed, preserving them forever from this lying generation, even though the wicked strut about, and evil is praised throughout the land.
