Is It Really Worth It?

Good morning. Do we mind the company we keep? As believers are we calling everyone our friend? That may seem like a good idea to call everyone our friend, but is it a God idea? If our friends are unbelievers what do we really have in common? We can’t help who we work with, but we can help who fellowship with in our private time. Did you know we hinder being welcomed by God when we choose to yoke ourselves with unbelievers? Ask yourself; is it really worth it?

2 Corinthians 6:17
Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.

Christ Did It

Good morning. Now that we are in Christ we don’t have to worry about suffering from his condemnation. This isn’t a ticket for us to continue in sin, it’s another reason for us to rejoice in the Lord; for, we were guilty and now Jesus has dropped the charges against us.

Romans 5:9
And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.

Character Flaws

Good morning. Trials are character builders. When going through the storms of life our true nature comes out. That’s when we find out if we really have faith like we say do. We find out if we’re really going to stick with God like we profess we will do. We find out if we’re really rooted and grounded in Christ like we claim to be. No one likes trials but, it’s good to know what our character flaws are.

Romans 5:3-4
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

We Have The Power To Do Right

Good morning. The only power Satan has over us is the power we give him; take it back! And stop trying to justify or excuse away sin. We have the power to not sin. We have the power to walk upright before the Lord. It’s impossible for God to work through us and we’re powerless. We must exercise the power and authority we have through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 2:13
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

Our Enemies Are No Match

Good morning. Our enemies don’t realize who we are. Therefore, they speak any kind of way to us and try to intimidate us. Do not be afraid of the enemy because Jesus has all power in his hands. Our enemies can do no more or no less than what God allows them to do. Our enemies will soon be cut down like grass and wither away. Our enemies are no match for God. So, we can’t let our enemies put us on the run. For the Bible declares; greater is he that is in me than he that’s in the world.

Philippians 1:28
Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.

When Your Alternative Is Just As Good

Good morning. When you walk upright before the Lord dying is just as good as living. When you know what awaits you in death, there’s no fear, only rejoicing. Death is not a bad alternative for those who love the Lord, worship the Lord in spirit and truth, live the word, and are obedient to the Lord. It’s only when you’re not sure about your lifestyle, do you worry where your soul will lie. It’s only when you play and flirt with sin, do you worry about making it to heaven. It’s only when you willingly sin thinking you’re going to have a chance to repent, that you’re scared to take your last breath. So live a life pleasing to God, that all your worries my fade away.

Philippians 1:21-23
For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better. I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me.

God Is Not A Quitter

Good morning. God is not a quitter. He completes every work he starts. He doesn’t ween us off sin, he delivers us from our sins. He just doesn’t forgive us, he redeems us. God knows exactly who we are, where we’ve been, where we’re going, and what we’ve done. This doesn’t make him shy away from loving us and finishing what he started inside of us. Since God won’t quit on us, let’s not quit on him.

Philippians 1:6
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Don’t Get Beside Yourself

Good morning. Sometimes we can get beside ourselves with what we let come out our mouths. We need to be mindful that we are never by ourselves, the Lord is everywhere. It’s time to think before we speak and count up the cost before we take action on anything.

Malachi 1:7
“You have shown contempt by offering defiled sacrifices on my altar. “Then you ask, ‘How have we defiled the sacrifices?’ “You defile them by saying the altar of the LORD deserves no respect.

Don’t Be Greedy

Good morning. Greed can cause a person to do all sorts of things such as; lie, cheat, steal, and even kill. When we’re greedy for money and power we’re setting a trap for ourselves. As children of God, we don’t have to be greedy for money and power, for the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Our God will supply all of our needs according to his riches and glory. Let’s not deprive ourselves of life trying to get a dollar or power.

Proverbs 1:17-19
If a bird sees a trap being set,
it knows to stay away. But these people set an ambush for themselves; they are trying to get themselves killed. Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money; it robs them of life.

They Hated Christ Too

Good morning. We must remain steadfast, unmovable, and faithful even in the face of persecution. God never said this Christian walk would be easy. In fact, the Lord told his disciples; if the world hates you, know that they hated me first. We don’t serve the Lord based off how other people treat us. We served the Lord for who he is. He is the savior of the world. He is our redeemer. He is our deliverer. He is the I AM.

2 Thessalonians 1:4
We proudly tell God’s other churches about your endurance and faithfulness in all the persecutions and hardships you are suffering.
