Trouble Times Hit Everyone

Good morning. It is possible to be caught off guard. We never know what lurks around the corner. We never know when calamity and tragedy will show up at our address. No matter what awaits us, we serve a God that can help us through any trial and tribulation. So, don’t be afraid when storms arise, because the Lord won’t allow them to overtake us.

Ecclesiastes 9:12
People can never predict when hard times might come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, people are caught by sudden tragedy.

Our Days Are Numbered

Good morning. When we realize that all of our days are numbered our perspective on life should change. It should remind us only what we do for Christ will last. It should make us eager to be about our father’s business. If knowing, that one day we will see Jesus face-to-face and we don’t change our ways, then shame on us and woe be to us.

Psalms 39:4
“LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is.

The Word Will Expose What’s Hidden On The Inside

Good morning. God is so good to us. He allows the word to find us out, in hopes we will change for the better. People don’t have meddle in our business, the word of God is in our business and lives. It exposes what we think nobody knows. As Christians, we don’t want to walk around with unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, malice, hatred, lust, etc., in our hearts. For the Bible declares; only the pure in heart shall see God.

Hebrews 4:12-13
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

There’s Something About The Name Jesus

Good morning. The only name that can save us is Jesus ; point blank. There’s salvation in his name. There’s power in his name. There’s redemption in his name. Please don’t fool yourself into thinking your soul is saved by believing in a “higher-power, praying to a statue, or believing in someone that’s still in the grave”. If it’s not Jesus, then your not saved.

Acts 4:10-12
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Learn From Others

Good morning. When we see God punish people why don’t we take heed? What makes us think that God won’t punish us like he punishes others? We should be able to look at others suffering from their sins and consequences and make up in our minds that we want no part in that. It should make us want to straighten up, stop willfully sinning, repent, and get back on the straight and narrow path. We don’t have to experience what others experience. We can look at what they’re going through and make up in our minds; I won’t tempt God like that.

Lamentations 1:12
“Does it mean nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see if there is any suffering like mine, which the LORD brought on me when he erupted in fierce anger.

God Will Strip You

Good morning. When we do things outside of the Will of God do we think about our future? Do we ever think that the Lord will strip us of our glory? Or, do we think we’ll just do what we want to do and repent later? We don’t have time to play with our souls. Time is winding up. Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

Lamentations 1:8-9
Jerusalem has sinned greatly,
so she has been tossed away like a filthy rag. All who once honored her now despise her, for they have seen her stripped naked and humiliated.
All she can do is groan and hide her face. She defiled herself with immorality and gave no thought to her future. Now she lies in the gutter
with no one to lift her out. “LORD, see my misery,” she cries. “The enemy has triumphed.”

Honor Your Promise To The Lord

Good morning. We expect God to keep his promise yet, we don’t keep our promise to him. We promised to serve him and obey him, but now, we’re leaning to our own understanding and doing what’s right in our sight. We promised the Lord that we would trust him, but now, we don’t even pray and have our private devotion time with him. What if God decided that he wasn’t going to make good on his promises? We would be crying and saying foolish things like: the Lord don’t love me, why he let this happen to me, why did the Lord drop the ball, etc… If we haven’t kept our promise to God we need to repent and make good on what we promised the Lord.

Isaiah 48:1-2
“Listen to me, O family of Jacob,
you who are called by the name of Israel and born into the family of Judah. Listen, you who take oaths in the name of the LORD and call on the God of Israel. You don’t keep your promises, even though you call yourself the holy city and talk about depending on the God of Israel, whose name is the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.

A Lying Christian

Good morning. The last thing we want to be as Christians is liars. When no one can trust the words that come out of our mouth, we have effectively lost our witness. When we say one thing, but do another, we have effectively lost our witness. A lying Christian can’t draw anyone to Christ, because no one will believe that they even know Christ, let alone have a relationship with him.

Psalms 120:1-2
In my distress I cried unto the LORD,
and he heard me. Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

Sin Should No Longer Rule Our Lives

Good morning. There should come a time in this life when we no longer want our will to be done. Our will has gotten us into all types of ungodly entanglements and out-right sin. We should no longer want to walk to the beat of our own drum, but to the beat of God’s drum. Therefore, it’s time to let God order our steps and take total control of our lives. Sin should no longer be the ruler of our lives.

Psalms 119:133
Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Dead And Gone

Good morning. We work hard to obtain the things we have. Yet, when we die we can’t take not one penny or item with us. It’s left behind for family members to fight over if we don’t have our affairs in order. We don’t know if the people we’re leaving our money and things to are going to cherish them or squander them. We don’t know if they are going to capitalize on their fortune that’s left for them or are they going to be so reckless and drown their sorrows in drugs, alcohol, shopping, strip-club’s etc… There’s no need in us working ourselves up thinking about this because after all, we will be dead and gone.

Ecclesiastes 2:18-19
I came to hate all my hard work here on earth, for I must leave to others everything I have earned. And who can tell whether my successors will be wise or foolish? Yet they will control everything I have gained by my skill and hard work under the sun. How meaningless!
