The Trickle Down Effect

Good morning. Serving the Lord has a trickle down effect. Our children reap the benefits of our obedience. When they see us serving the Lord, setting the godly standard in the home, more likely they will follow it. When they see us raise hell all week long then praise God on Sunday, more likely they will follow that. Depending on what we do, our children can have generational success and blessings or generational curses. Think about that the next time your flesh wants to disobey God.

Psalms 112:1-2
Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.

Let Your Mind Take A Walk Down Memory Lane

Good morning. Have you ever just thought about how amazing the Lord really is? He loved us in spite of us. He blessed us in spite of us. He’s protected us not only from the enemy, but from ourselves. He’s allowed the word to expose us and not man. He’s healed us and left the doctors scratching their heads. He’s delivered us and now people don’t have anything to talk about. If you haven’t thought about how amazing God is, now is the time to walk down memory lane.

Psalms 111:2
How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them.

Sit Where God Tells You To

Good morning. Just as God instructed Jesus to take his rightful place until he provided the victory for him, we must do the same. We cannot get the victory over the enemy if we’re out of position. Wherever God tells us to sit, we need to sit. That means; if he wants us to sit in silence, sit in prayer, sit in fasting, sit in worship or sit in praise we must do it without hesitation. We will get the victory when we’re obedient.

Psalms 110:1
The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”

God Is Our Protector

Good morning. Praise God! For he didn’t let our enemies defeat us. When we find ourselves in trouble, God is just a prayer, praise, and cry away. All we have to do is open our mouths and call out to him. We don’t have to live in this world afraid of what the enemy wants to do to us, because our God is a protector. We can find refuge in him. God never said the weapons wouldn’t form, he said; they wouldn’t prosper.

Psalms 30:1
I will exalt you, LORD, for you rescued me.You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.

What A Mighty God We Serve

Good morning. What a mighty God we serve. Not only will he keep us from stumbling, he protects and provides for us. If that’s not enough, he snatched us back from deaths door and spared our lives. Therefore, we have nothing to complain about. When life tries to give us lemons, we need to remind ourselves; we serve a good God, an awesome God, an all powerful God. Before you know it, we’ve created our own praise party. We can’t complain and praise God at the same time.

Psalms 116:6-8
The LORD protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. Let my soul be at rest again, for the LORD has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

Know Who You Are

Good morning. Never forget who you are, whose you are, and what you were put on this earth to do. Don’t go back from where God brought you from. Don’t crave your old life. Rejoice in the newness of life in Christ Jesus. Let others see how good the Lord is through the life you live. You just may be the only Bible that people read.

1 Peter 2:9
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

Don’t Be A Shady Christian

Good morning. No one wants to deal with shady Christians. We give Jesus and ourselves a bad name when we’re always scheming and up to no good. We are fooling ourselves if we think God is pleased and that we won’t get punished. We have to turn from our wicked ways now while we still have a chance, for when we die it’s too late.

Proverbs 18:3
Doing wrong leads to disgrace, and scandalous behavior brings contempt.

Know Your Circle

Good morning. All of us will face challenges in this life. Some of the challenges we face are meant to destroy us. That’s why it’s good to hang around believers that will surround us and help pray us through. When we’re going through the trials of life, that’s not the time to be yoked up with naysayers and people who don’t know the power of God. We need to check our circles now, for the Bible declares; know those that labor among you.

Acts 14:19-20
Then some Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowds to their side. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of town, thinking he was dead. But as the believers gathered around him, he got up and went back into the town. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.

God’s Discipline Is Love

Good morning. Discipline and love go hand-in-hand. If we think that God should let us do anything without any consequences what we’re really saying is; God shouldn’t love us. When you love someone you correct them, you don’t let them walk in error. Many of us have seen disobedient children in the store and stopped to see if their parents were going to discipline them, and when it didn’t happen we had a mouthful to say. We wondered what type of parents are they. Well, we don’t have to wonder what type of father God is. He’s a God of love and order. We will act orderly and do right, or we will pay the price and suffer the consequences for doing wrong and that’s love.

Hebrews 12:5-6
And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said,
“My child, don’t make light of the LORD’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”

Praise God Now

Good morning. We don’t know what life will bring our way. We don’t know if we’re going to stay healthy or our health will fade. We don’t know if we’re going to live to see old age or die in our youth. We don’t know if we’re going to have enough money to live or lose it all. No matter what this life brings, we can praise God now. We can think on his goodness and remember him now. We can magnify him now. While we’re healthy, in our right minds, and we know who the Lord is; let’s bless his holy name.

Ecclesiastes 12:5
Remember him before you become fearful of falling and worry about danger in the streets; before your hair turns white like an almond tree in bloom, and you drag along without energy like a dying grasshopper, and the caperberry no longer inspires sexual desire. Remember him before you near the grave, your everlasting home, when the mourners will weep at your funeral.
