We Have A Choice Where We Want To Live

Good morning. Do we fear God? We may say we have a reverential fear of God, but our behavior tells the real truth. Do we love God? We make our lips say we love God, but out of the heart the mouth speaks. And from the things we allow to come out our mouths, we can clearly see there’s no love for God or his people. When it comes to God and the things of God, we need to chose a path. The narrow path or the wide path. The narrow path leads to everlasting life. The wide path leads to death and destruction. God is so good, he gives us a choice where we want to live; what will you need address be?

Proverbs 14:2
Those who follow the right path fear the LORD; those who take the wrong path despise him.

Don’t Act Like The World

Good morning. The world tells us to live our best life and to do what makes us happy. Newsflash! God didn’t call us to happy living, he called us to holy living. We can listen to world and do as the world do and miss out on heaven. Or, we can do as God commanded us to do and live the word. You want to live your best life? Then start by fearing the Lord and resisting the devil.

Galatians 5:19-21
When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Remember The Lord

Good morning. While we’re young and our minds are sharp, we need to remember the Lord. While we have the activity of our limbs and can work for the kingdom, we need to remember the Lord. While we can still enjoy life and do things on our own, we need to remember the Lord. There’s going to come a day when we return to the dirt and our works will cease. We can’t remember the Lord or praise him from the grave. Everything will be said and done. Our works will be called into account. Serve the Lord now. Praise the Lord now. Worship the Lord while you still have a chance.

Ecclesiastes 12:6-7
Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don’t wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well. For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

It’s Not Hard Living By God’s Standards

Good morning. God desires to bless us, however, we block our own blessings when we do things our way. It’s not hard living saved, we have to want to live saved. It’s not hard living holy, we have to want to live holy. Stop trying to please the flesh, for no good thing dwells in the flesh. God is making a list and writing names in the book of life. We want our names to be found written in the book of life. If our names are not written in heaven, then there’s only one other place it can be found and that’s in hell.

Isaiah 66:1-4
This is what the LORD says:
“Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place? My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine. I, the LORD, have spoken!
“I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word. But those who choose their own ways— delighting in their detestable sins— will not have their offerings accepted. When such people sacrifice a bull, it is no more acceptable than a human sacrifice. When they sacrifice a lamb, it’s as though they had sacrificed a dog! When they bring an offering of grain, they might as well offer the blood of a pig. When they burn frankincense, it’s as if they had blessed an idol. I will send them great trouble— all the things they feared. For when I called, they did not answer. When I spoke, they did not listen. They deliberately sinned before my very eyes and chose to do what they know I despise.”

The Magnitude Of God’s Love

Good morning. We will never understand the magnitude of love God has for us. Good doesn’t want to find fault in us like man. He desires for us to be holy. Our sins keep us from having a full and healthy relationship with the Lord. Our sins keeps us from living a holy life. So, we have to ask ourselves; do we want to keep sinning and be happy? Or, do we want to resist the devil and live holy?

Ephesians 1:4
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.

Wisdom and Integrity

Good morning. If we lack wisdom, God will give us wisdom, we just need to ask for it. Wisdom will teach us when to talk and when to be quiet. Wisdom will teach us how to season our words to win people to Christ. We don’t have to walk around ignorant and dismayed because we have an advocate in Christ Jesus that will protect those who walk up right before Him; who don’t try to harm other people with their words and jesters. As children of God, we should always strive to be honest and walk in integrity.

Proverbs 2:6-7
For the LORD grants wisdom!
From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.

What’s Your Motive For Doing Good?

Good morning. Many of us get weary in well doing when we feel like people don’t appreciate our acts of kindness. We begin to murmur and complain. We begin posting subliminal messages on social media to get likes and for people to agree with us. So, the question is; are we doing good so that people can see us and give us praise? Or, are we doing good because we know we’re doing it as unto the Lord? Before we get all wound up and angry, we have to check our motives, because God already knows the intent of our hearts.

2 Thessalonians 3:13
As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good.

We Can’t Take Credit

Good morning. We can’t take credit for anything God has done in our lives. We didn’t save ourselves, deliver ourselves, redeem ourselves, heal ourselves, or restore ourselves. It was the Lord’s doing. If we do good, it’s the Lord’s doing. We are God’s creation and He will have His perfect way.

Ephesians 2:8-10
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

The Feast Of The Lord

Good morning. When we eat natural food it fills us up temporarily. After while, we become hungry again and have to go back and get more. However, when we feast on Jesus, the bread of life, all of our hunger pains and cravings go away. Nothing is temporal with the Lord. We have an everlasting filling when we’re served from His table. Therefore, we need to come where the table is spread and the feast of the Lord is going on.

John 6:35
Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Be Careful How You Repay A Person

Good morning. We must be careful how we treat people. The ramifications for treating people bad when they are good to us is too costly. We bring damnation, chaos and confusion to our own houses when we repay good with evil. We must check our ways and motives. If we know our ways and motives are not pure, we need to go to God, repent and ask Him to; create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit in us.

Proverbs 17:13
If you repay good with evil,
evil will never leave your house.
