We Are Not All That

Good morning. The Lord has a way of humbling us and bringing us back to earth. We can think we’re all that, but truly we’re nothing without Christ. None of us can brag or boast because it is He that has made us and not we ourselves. In all of our righteousness we’re as filthy rags. So, instead of thinking we’re all that and a bag of chips we need to get in the face of the Lord and hear what the spirit is saying to the church; he that hath an ear let him hear.

Romans 3:10-11
As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous— not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God.

Don’t Believe The Hype

Good morning. We are not to seek glory or fame for doing the work of the Lord. When we see people trying to put us on a pedestal and trying to make us something we’re not, we need to stop them immediately and point them to God. We are God’s mouthpiece and that’s all. It’s a privilege and honor to be used by God. We are not God, we can’t take the place of God and we better not make people think we’re bigger than God. We have to lift up the name of the Lord and not our own names. For there is no power in our names, but at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Acts 14:11-15
When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in their local dialect, “These men are gods in human form!” They decided that Barnabas was the Greek god Zeus and that Paul was Hermes, since he was the chief speaker. Now the temple of Zeus was located just outside the town. So the priest of the temple and the crowd brought bulls and wreaths of flowers to the town gates, and they prepared to offer sacrifices to the apostles. But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard what was happening, they tore their clothing in dismay and ran out among the people, shouting, “Friends, why are you doing this? We are merely human beings—just like you! We have come to bring you the Good News that you should turn from these worthless things and turn to the living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them.

Take Godly Advice

Good morning. We cannot afford to take advice from ungodly people when we find ourselves in God situations. If they have no relationship with our Father, how can they direct us on the path of righteousness? We have to be careful who we turn to for advice. We should turn to God at the beginning of every situation in our lives. He’s not our last resort, He’s our only option.

Psalms 1:1
Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

We Don’t Serve A Deaf Or Blind God

Good morning. We don’t serve a deaf or blind God. We can try and run but we can’t hide. We can act like God don’t see us doing everything we’re doing and it just makes the punishment worse. God doesn’t miss anything that’s taking place in the earth. While he’s giving us space to repent, I just we do it because there will come a time when it’s too late.

Jeremiah 23:24
Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the LORD.

Working But Not Being A Busybody

Good morning. We don’t have to be busybodies in the body of Christ. We can do a work for the Lord, but we don’t have to run ourselves ragged, for there’s plenty of work to be done. We don’t have to beat people upside the head with the word, all we have to do is live it and lead people to Christ. One things for sure, God will be glorified and high and lifted up above all the earth. For the Bible declares; every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Therefore, don’t get bent out of shape when people are not serving Him. We just have to make sure our souls are prepared to meet Him.

Psalms 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

Speak With Power And Authority

Good morning. We have the power to release some things in the earth and in the heavens. We like to bind things here on earth but we forget to loose things. If we bind hatred let’s not forget to loose love. If we bind sexual immorality, let’s not forget to loose the marital bed and marital relations only between the husband and the wife. We need to start speaking with power and the authority we possess through the Holy Spirit that lives inside of us.

Matthew 18:18
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

God Is About To Do Some Uncovering

Good morning. Nothing is hidden from God and soon everything we think is a secret will be revealed. We must not fool ourselves thinking that we can get away with anything. God see’s all and knows all, He’s not deaf or blind. We think because God hasn’t punished us right away we’ve gotten away with sin, not realizing, that God is giving us space to repent. Instead of repenting, we just keep on sinning. Therefore, God is about to do some uncovering. We need not get mad when this happens because we’ve been warned in the word.

Luke 12:1-3
Meanwhile, the crowds grew until thousands were milling about and stepping on each other. Jesus turned first to his disciples and warned them, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees—their hypocrisy. The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!

What Season Is It?

Good morning. We know that this is the summer season naturally, but do we know what spiritual season we’re in? Have we asked God is this our season to fast and sit at his feet or is this our season to pour out into others? As Christians we never experience the same spiritual season at the same time. For some of us may be strong right now and we’re helping the weak. Then there will be times when we are weak, and the strong will help us. Whatever season we find ourselves in, we must keep the Lord as the center of our focus. We must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us. If this is a challenging season we find ourselves in, we shouldn’t hate it or speak negatively about it; we should ask God what’s the purpose and what does He want us to learn. If this is a great season in our lives, don’t gloat but be grateful and stay focused on the Lord because a challenging and testing season is right around the corner.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

Honor Your Parents

Good morning. Honoring our mother and father is the first commandment that God gave with a promise. He never put stipulations on this commandment, meaning, if your parents were good then honor them. No, we are to honor them in whatever state they’re in. As parents, we need to teach our children to honor us and their other parent even if the other parent is absent in their lives. We are not to talk down or bad about the absentee parent because our children will think it’s ok to talk down to them and about them, thus, shortening their days on this earth. Let’s not teach our children to shorten their days on earth because of how we feel about an absentee parent.

Exodus 20:12
“Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Don’t Reject God

Good morning. Who or what have we made an idol in our lives that we now worship? Worshipping anything or anyone besides God, means that we are rejecting God and that rejection will affect our whole family. We need to cultivate our relationship with God, for this is the most important relationship of our lives. Before we say we don’t put anything or anyone before God, we need to do an inventory of our lives and see where all of our time, talents and treasures are spent. If we find ourselves putting other gods before the true and living God, we need to repent, denounce those things and people we’ve been worshipping and get in the presence of the Almighty.

Exodus 20:4-5
“You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.
