We Can’t Do It Without God

Good morning. No matter our age or stature in life, we need the Lord. We can’t do anything in our might or power. For, it’s in God, that we live, move, and have our being. Therefore, we shouldn’t be surprised when see young and old people getting weary and falling by the wayside, when they are trying to do things without the Lord.

Isaiah 40:30
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Rely On God’s Strength And Power

Good morning. We don’t have to be strong in our might. God will strengthen us and give us power. The Bible declares; we can call those things that be not as though they were. So, let the weak say; I’m strong. Whatever condition we may find ourselves in, let’s look at it in a positive light. Let’s speak life over our conditions. If we speak negatively about what we’re going through, how do we expect others to see our situations any different?

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

What A Mighty God We Serve

Good morning. We serve a God that doesn’t get warn-out because of us. He’s omnipotent and never loses His power. He doesn’t faint at the sign of our trouble. Nothing catches Him by surprise. We can come to Him about anything and He doesn’t tire out. He’s not in a box like most of us make Him out to be. We will never be able to understand how much He truly loves us and why He loves us the way He does. Therefore, we should rejoice in the fact that everything God knows about us, He still desires for us to have everlasting life with Him. We serve a mighty good God.

Isaiah 40:28
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Be Not Dismayed

Good morning. God hates sin, yet, He’s willing to forgive us of our sins. God doesn’t rank sins. Sin is sin in the sight of the Lord. However, there are some sins He just detest; lying, deceiving, and murder. There’s a lot of that going on in the land and many people think they’re getting away with something. But, be not dismayed, for the Bible declares; it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. We serve the true and living God and He will judge between the righteous and the wicked.

Psalms 5:6
You will destroy those who tell lies. The LORD detests murderers and deceivers.

God Should Hear Our Voice In The Morning

Good morning. Do we pray every morning? Do we acknowledge that it was God who watched over us during the night and He, not the alarm clock, woke us up? Talking with the Lord is the best thing we can do before we start our day. Many people say; they can’t function without their morning coffee. Well, we shouldn’t be able to function without our morning conversation with the Lord. It doesn’t matter how long we pray, it matters that we carve out time just for the Lord. Starting our day talking to the Lord helps to set the tone. The moment our eyes open in the morning, the very first words of the day should be, thank you Lord. Don’t let this morning pass by without prayer.

Psalms 5:3
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God Always Watches Over Us

Good morning. When we laid down last night did we think about our safety? While we were sleeping, were we concerned about being protected? God, in all of His graciousness towards us protected us while we slept. The Bible declares; at midnight the enemy sows discord. So while we were asleep God was protecting us from the dangers of Satan. When God says He got us, know that He got us. Know that God watches over us day and night. We should never neglect to thank the Lord because it is of His mercies that we are not consumed.

Psalms 3:5
I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety,
for the LORD was watching over me.

Bring Back Discipline In The Home

Good morning. There is a difference between discipline and abuse. When our children get out of line we are to discipline them, not abuse them. Taking toys, games, privileges, etc., away is good, but that’s not a form of discipline. Growing up, our parents put heat to the meat, in other words; they whipped our tails and we straightened right up. As they were disciplining us, they would say; I’m doing this because I love you. The Bible declares; For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child. Now days, parents are trying to be friends and life coaches to their children and it’s ruining their children. Children are feeling entitled, they have a lack of respect and discipline, and they have a lack of character. The Bible also declares; if God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. It’s time for parents to take charge and let the kids know that in this house, we discipline, because if I don’t discipline you in here; you will learn things the hard way out there.

Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Be Careful How Use What God Has Given You

Good morning. No matter how much wisdom and knowledge we have, we are no match against God. Who do we think gave us the knowledge and wisdom? We should never think that we can outwit or out smart God. For the Bible declares; be not deceived, God is not mocked, whatever a man sows he shall also reap. Let’s be careful how we use the knowledge and wisdom that God has given us.

Proverbs 21:30
No human wisdom or understanding or plan
can stand against the LORD.

Silence Is Ok Sometimes

Good morning. When we talk too much it leads to trouble. When we speak on everything we see, it leads to trouble. The Bible declares; we should study to be quiet. We can hear a whole lot better when we’re quiet. Our tongue can start a fire or it can put a fire out. Our tongue can bless a person or curse a person, and the Bible declares; blessings and cursing shouldn’t come out of the same mouth. We know the damage our tongue can do, therefore, we should think before we speak. If what we’re about to say is going to edify a person and glorify God, then we should speak. If what we’re about to say is going to tear down someone and bring disgrace on God, then we need to shut up and take it to the Lord in prayer.

Proverbs 21:23
Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble.

Don’t Look Down On The Poor

Good morning. We are all two weeks away from needing help. Let our jobs shuts down, a restructuring in the company, or a life altering event take place and we can find ourselves in need. While we’re sitting on top of the world, we need not look down on the poor. We don’t know what happened in their lives that got them to where they are today. We should help them whenever possible. We can’t turn a blinded eye and act like we don’t see them, they don’t exist, or they’re someone else’s problem to deal with. If we have a roof over our heads, a steady supply of food, shoes, clothes and running water, we have no room to complain about nothing. Let’s not take for granted how God has blessed us abundantly and but for the grace of God, the shoe could be on the other foot.

Proverbs 21:13
Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor will be ignored in their own time of need.
