Let’s Give Them Something Different To Talk About

Good morning. We may go to church but that doesn’t make us moral, it just means we go to church. As women, do we watch our speech, the way we act or the path we take? Do we even care what God thinks about us? We can fool people into thinking we’re virtuous women but we can’t fool God. We cannot continue to compromise our faith and salvation to please others or be with others, and think God is pleased with us. We have to take a stand today and say; my relationship with God is more important than trying to hang on to someone who wants me to compromise or hang on to something that doesn’t bring God glory. It’s time out for being immoral and being the talk of the town, the office and the church.

Proverbs 5:3-6
For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil. But in the end she is as bitter as poison, as dangerous as a double-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave. For she cares nothing about the path to life. She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn’t realize it.

Welcome Your Children Back With Open Arms

Good morning. Many of us with children have told our kids; if you would just listen to me, you wouldn’t have to deal with some things in life. And despite all of our pleading with them, they go and do what they want to do. Whenever they mess up, as parents we shouldn’t say I told you so. Instead, we should ask; what lesson did you learn. When Jesus tells us to trust him and listen to him, and we go and do our own thing; he doesn’t say I told you so. He teaches us a lesson and after we repent, he welcomes us back with open arms. Let’s learn to welcome our children back with open arms. They already know they’ve messed up. There’s no need to keep them in that place.

Proverbs 5:1
My son, pay attention to my wisdom; listen carefully to my wise counsel.

When Our Hearts Are Heavy

Good morning. When someone’s heart is heavy it’s natural for us to want to cheer them up. However, we must use wisdom. If the person needs to grieve, let them grieve. If they need to cry, let them cry. If they need to be angry and let out a scream, let them do it. Don’t try and take away their emotions and make them feel like they have to keep it together to save face. There will be time for cheering them up, we just have to observe and ask God when is the right time.

Proverbs 25:20
Singing cheerful songs to a person with a heavy heart is like taking someone’s coat in cold weather or pouring vinegar in a wound.

We Can’t Redeem Our Own Lives

Good morning. No matter how much money we have, we can’t redeem our own lives. The Bible does declare that money answers all things and it also declares that we are not to trust in our riches. We shouldn’t let money take the place of God. It’s God that gives us the ability to create wealth. It’s God that is our ultimate resource. Money can’t save us, deliver us, wash us clean, heal us or do anything spiritual for us. Therefore, we aught to serve God and not money. Our trust should be in our creator not his creations. We should not let money and earthly possessions be our downfall and our cause for missing out on heaven.

Psalms 49:5-7
Why should I fear when trouble comes, when enemies surround me? They trust in their wealth and boast of great riches.
Yet they cannot redeem themselves from death by paying a ransom to God.

Don’t Turn Your Nose Up At Sinners, Pray For Them

Good morning. Before we turn our noses up at sinners, let’s remember we were once in their shoes. We acted just like them, thought like them and did some of the things they do. The only difference between sinners and us is, we’ve finally realized we need a savior. We’ve realized that if we continue on the path of sin, hell is our final home. Let’s pray for the sinner that they turn from their wicked ways and accept Jesus. Lord knows, somebody was praying for us and prayed us right out of our mess.

Psalms 36:1-4
Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all.
In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are. Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good. They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil.

Take Your Enemies To The Lord In Prayer

Good morning. When people come against us we don’t have to seek revenge. We can pray like David did and ask God to deal with them. God can do far more damage to our enemies than we ever can. If we really want to get our enemies in trouble, the Bible declares; give your enemies a drink of water and you’re reap coals of fire on their head. So, don’t get bent all out of shape when someone talks about you, lies on you, mistreats you or tries to sabotage you. Just take them to the Lord in prayer.

Psalms 35:4
Bring shame and disgrace on those trying to kill me; turn them back and humiliate those who want to harm me.

Don’t Squander Your Opportunity At Eternal Life

Good morning. As we celebrate Resurrection Sunday today, we should keep in mind that Jesus paid it all, He paid a debt we couldn’t afford and he dropped the charges against us. By Jesus subbing in and going to cross on our behalf, that should cause us to repent. We shouldn’t squander the opportunity we’ve been given at eternal life. Nothing and no one in this world loves us as much as our Heavenly Father. Therefore, before we allow our flesh to crucify Jesus afresh on the cross with our sinful actions, we need to remember the pain and agony he suffered on our behalf, and ask ourselves; are we willing to have him suffer again with what we’re about to do.

Luke 24:46-47
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Just Shut Your Mouth

Good morning. We don’t have to speak or comment on everything. What we say to others, can either hurt or help out witness of Christ. We need to discipline ourselves, for every word we speak now, we’re going to have to give an account for. Simply put, we need to learn how to shut up and think before we speak. If what we have to say is going to edify the person, then speak. If what we have to say is going to tear down a person, then we need shut up. We will be surprised how much we can hear, if we just be quiet.

Psalms 34:13
Keep thy tongue from evil,
and thy lips from speaking guile.

Surrounded By Angels

Good morning. No matter what we’re facing God’s angels are surrounding us. We don’t have to fear anything for God’s angels know how to protect us and they’re not afraid to against Satan’s demons. That’s why we pray; Lord, keep your angels encamped round about us. Not only are we covered by the blood of Jesus, he’s assigned some angels to be dispatched at a moment’s notice on our behalf. So, walk in peace and assurance knowing we’re surrounded.

Psalms 34:7
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Corporate Worship

Good morning. Having private worship with the Lord is great. However, there are times when we need to worship the Lord corporately. The Bible declares we are not to forsake the assembly of the saints, therefore, God intends for us to join together and worship him. Even if we can’t make it to church house, we can call, FaceTime, video chat, etc. and worship God with one another. We are without excuse.

Psalms 34:3
O magnify the LORD with me,
and let us exalt his name together.
