Don’t Be Reluctant To What God Says

Good morning. Many of us know our jobs like the back of our hand; we can do our jobs in our sleep. Nevertheless, we shouldn’t get so complacent in our jobs that when Jesus tells us to do something we feel won’t work, we’re reluctant to try it. We must always remember, the Lord knows everything. He created the jobs we have. He knows the inner workings, the outer workings, the side deals that go on and the shadiness that happens on our jobs. Therefore, when he says do something, just do it. God is not a God that steers us wrong and looks for us to fail. God is a God of order and only wants the best for us.

Luke 5:4-6
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”
“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!

Don’t Let Demons Testify On Your Behalf

Good morning. People knew just how powerful Jesus was in the Bible. One word, one touch and people we’re healed. Demons even knew how powerful he was because he cast them out of people. However, he shut the demons mouth because he didn’t want people relying on a demons testimony. All to often, we let demons testify on our behalf when we should be the ones opening our mouths telling of the goodness of the Lord. It’s funny how we can tell everybody about our problems and murmur and complain, but when God delivers us we’re silent. We don’t want people to know what God is doing or has done in our lives. The Bible declares, let the redeemed of the Lord say so. If we don’t want to praise God publicly he has some rocks on standby.

Luke 4:40-41
As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one. Many were possessed by demons; and the demons came out at his command, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But because they knew he was the Messiah, he rebuked them and refused to let them speak.

Satan Is Not Our Friend

Good morning. Every time Satan tempted Jesus, Jesus responded with the word of God. Jesus didn’t flirt with Satan. Jesus didn’t play games with Satan, he stood on the word. When Satan saw that Jesus wasn’t playing games with him he left him alone until he could get another opportunity to mess with him. Christians often like to say; what would Jesus do. Well, Jesus would and did resist the devil. We must take Jesus’ lead and resist the devil, not flirt with Satan, neither play games with him. Satan is not our friend, he’s our adversary. He has no good intentions for us, so stop acting like if you’re nice to him he will be nice to you. The only way we should respond to Satan is with the word of God. In order to do that, we have to know what the word says; therefore, study the word, hide the word in your hearts and when Satan comes stand firm on the word.

Luke 4:13
When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came.

Our Lifestyles Tells The Real Story

Good morning. We can tell people we’re saved and that we’ve changed, however, our lifestyles will tell the real story. How we conduct ourselves when don’t have our masks on will tell the real story. Always remember, God can replace us at anytime. We can’t go around faking it until we make it; that’s a lie from the pit of hell. That’s an excuse to keep sinning and trying to justify our sin. Either live right or go to hell, it’s that simple. Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand.

Luke 3:7-8
When the crowds came to John for baptism, he said, “You brood of snakes! Who warned you to flee the coming wrath? Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones.

Don’t Take God’s Friendship For Granted

Good morning. Do we realize how close to death we were? Do we ever think about just how close we came to spending an eternity in hell? We aught to thank God daily for sending Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Every time the thought crosses our mind how Jesus paid the price we couldn’t afford to pay, we aught say; hallelujah. We should never have the testimony that we have nothing to be thankful about, or nothing to give God praise for. Just the mere fact God doesn’t consider us his enemy anymore is praise worthy. The mere fact that we’re saved through the blood of Jesus is praise worthy. Let’s never take being called a friend of God for granted again.

Romans 5:10
For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.

Undeserved Privileges

Good morning. Faith just doesn’t move mountains, it provides us with undeserved privileges. Faith let’s us in on things we would normally have no right or access to. In trying times I know it’s hard to keep the faith when all we see is doom and gloom. However, we must continue to walk by faith and not by sight, and unlock those hidden privileges and gain access to open doors that comes only with faith. Let’s not allow situations and circumstances to keep us from enjoying everything God has for us.

Romans 5:2
Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

It’s Not Your Place To Tell

Good morning. Sometimes coworkers get on our nerves and we just wish we didn’t have to work with them. Believe it or not, they feel the same way about us. No matter how we feel about each other, it’s not our place to run to the boss and tell them everything. Let people be who they are going to be and let the boss see it for themselves. For when it’s time for corrective behavior, appraisals and restructuring; you’re name will be kept out of the mess and confusion. So, be watchful and observant but, be silent and a worker-bee because you will be rewarded for all your hard work.

Proverbs 30:10
Never slander a worker to the employer, or the person will curse you, and you will pay for it.

Don’t Fall For Satan’s Tricks

Good morning. Only God has our best interest at heart. He knows the plans he has for us, the thoughts he thinks towards us and the blessings he has in store for us. Satan means us no good. He only throws smoke screens up in hopes we’ll fall for his tricks so that he can take us down. Stick close to God and even when you don’t understand what he’s doing in your life. Stick close to God even when it doesn’t feel good or look good because an abundant life is what he has in store for us.

John 10:10
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

We Can Make Our Mouths Say Anything

Good morning. We can make our mouths say anything, therefore, we need to think before we speak. What we say can cause us to sin because we don’t keep our word. Not keeping our word is the same as lying. As children of God we don’t want to be known as liars. We don’t want to be known for talking the talk but not walking the walk. Before we open up our mouths to speak, we need to count up the cost of our words. Saying one thing and doing another thing can be costly and cause us to lose everything. If we’re not ready to lose it all, then we need to learn to be quiet.

Ecclesiastes 5:6
Don’t let your mouth make you sin. And don’t defend yourself by telling the Temple messenger that the promise you made was a mistake. That would make God angry, and he might wipe out everything you have achieved.

Know When To Speak And When To Be Quiet

Good morning. We don’t always have to speak on a matter. Speaking out of turn can ruin everything for us. What we say, when we say it, can make or break or deal, can save or destroy lives, can promote or demote us and can have good or bad consequences. Our words or lack of words can either open doors or get them closed in our face. The less we speak, the more we hear and what we hear can help us plan our next move.

Proverbs 13:3
Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.
