Don’t Condemn Other Believers

Good morning. As believers we should encourage and lift up other believers. We shouldn’t want to see another believer fall. We all have faults and flaws, and we all will give an account to God. We are not pleasing to God when we talk negatively about other believers and when we become stumbling blocks for them. So, for the rest of our days our will should be to please God and to be helpers one to another.

Romans 14:10-13
So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For the Scriptures say,
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

We Are In Control

Good morning. As children of God we should never have the testimony that
“I can’t control myself”. When we have the power of the Holy Spirit residing on the inside of us; we can do all things through Christ Jesus. We can control what we say, we can control how we use our bodies, we can control who we hang around, and we can control our thoughts by bringing them under the subjection to God. Now that we are in Christ, sin is no longer our puppet master. We must submit ourselves wholeheartedly to God and let him get the glory out of our lives.

Romans 6:12-13
Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

Be Careful When Others Praise You

Good morning. When people give us praise we need to direct their praise to God. We should never let people think we’re all that. It’s in God that we live, move, and have our being. We walk on dangerous ground when we try to take God’s glory; it could get us killed. So, be careful how you respond to other people praise.

Acts 12:20-23
Now Herod was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon. So they sent a delegation to make peace with him because their cities were dependent upon Herod’s country for food. The delegates won the support of Blastus, Herod’s personal assistant, and an appointment with Herod was granted. When the day arrived, Herod put on his royal robes, sat on his throne, and made a speech to them. The people gave him a great ovation, shouting, “It’s the voice of a god, not of a man!” Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck Herod with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died.

You Can’t Buy Salvation

Good morning. We cannot buy our salvation. When judgement day comes no amount of money can buy reconciliation with God. God requires obedience to his will and his word. When it’s time to settle our accounts with God; he will look upon our hearts not our bank accounts. Therefore, don’t trust in your riches but make sure your soul is anchored in the Lord.

Proverbs 11:4
Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.

Financial Freedom

Good morning. We’ve been hearing for a while now that debt free is the way to be and it’s true. The Bible declares we are to owe no man nothing but to love him. When we are in debt we are in bondage and we are slave to the lender, and we have no financial peace. The lender lord our debt over us until it’s paid. We can never truly enjoy the fruits of our labor because as soon as we make money we have to give it to the creditors. It’s time to get free in every area of our lives. It’s time to spend within our means. It’s time to cut out unnecessary purchases and have something in the coffer for a rainy day; because rainy days are on the horizon.

Proverbs 22:7
Just as the rich rule the poor,
so the borrower is servant to the lender.

True Friends

Good morning. If we are fortunate enough to have a true friend we’re blessed. True friends are not afraid to tell us we’re wrong, they are not afraid to tell us to stop having a pity party and start praying, and they are not afraid to tell us the hard truth even if they know we may get angry. If we don’t have these type of friends in our circle, then the people we do have in our circle is doing us a great disservice. Seek real friendship. Desire friends that will help push you into your destiny. Desire friends that will challenge you in the word of God. Don’t settle for friends who always pat you on the back and never tell you you’re wrong. These type of friends will see you walking in error and let you walk right into hell.

Proverbs 27:6
Wounds from a sincere friend
are better than many kisses from an enemy.

God Has No Favorites

Good morning. We serve a just and faithful God. He doesn’t love one of us more than the other one. He see’s everything and deals with us according to our actions. Only what we do for Christ will last. So let’s make sure we are doing things to please him. Let’s make sure we are doing things to advance the kingdom of God. Let’s make sure we are doing things that God will be able to say; well done thy good and faithful servant.

1 Peter 1:17
And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

Choose Life

Good morning. After we’ve tasted and seen that the Lord is good then go back to our wicked ways; there is no more sacrifice that the Lord can do for us. When we deliberately sin we cut ourselves off from God. Jesus died that we may have life and when we sin, we crucify him afresh. Rejecting Christ is a sure ticket to hell. We don’t have to go to hell. Choose life and stop making the name of the Lord a reproach among men.

Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

Keep Your Vow To The Lord

Good morning. When we cry out to God we need to be ready to receive from him and be ready to pay the vow we vowed to him. If we tell God that we will serve him if he rescues us and he upholds his end of the deal, then we need to keep our word and serve him. We are only fooling ourselves if we’re telling ourselves; I’m only calling out to God until he answers me. God knows the intent of our hearts and we will get ourselves in trouble playing with the Lord.

Psalms 119:145-152
Qoph
I pray with all my heart; answer me, LORD! I will obey your decrees. I cry out to you; rescue me, that I may obey your laws. I rise early, before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words. I stay awake through the night, thinking about your promise. In your faithful love, O LORD, hear my cry; let me be revived by following your regulations. Lawless people are coming to attack me; they live far from your instructions. But you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true. I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever.

Be Receptive To Wisdom

Good morning. Everything in our society is honored more than wisdom. Using wisdom in everyday life is more effective than using wealth and success. Wise people often go unheard and we need to learn to be receptive to wisdom, no matter who it comes from.

Ecclesiastes 9:13-18
Here is another bit of wisdom that has impressed me as I have watched the way our world works. There was a small town with only a few people, and a great king came with his army and besieged it. A poor, wise man knew how to save the town, and so it was rescued. But afterward no one thought to thank him. So even though wisdom is better than strength, those who are wise will be despised if they are poor. What they say will not be appreciated for long. Better to hear the quiet words of a wise person
than the shouts of a foolish king. Better to have wisdom than weapons of war,
but one sinner can destroy much that is good.
