Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Good morning. When we fear the Lord like we say we do, we will depart from evil. When we look over our life our actions will let us know what we really think about God.

Proverbs 16:6
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

Prepare Your Answer Now

Good morning. People in this world are looking for something and someone to believe in; that’s why we have so many different religions and causes in the world. We need to be prepared for when someone asks us why do we believe in a God we can’t see. We need to be able to answer why do we put our trust in Jesus Christ and await our new home with Christ. We don’t have to debate with others, but we should answer with meekness and kindness; for the Bible declares with love and kindness have I drawn thee.

1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Don’t Go To Hell

Good morning. It’s time to clean up our act. We must repent and turn from our wicked ways. If we choose not to turn from our wicked ways then hell is our home. God is not mocked and he’s not playing with us. Let’s open our eyes and see what’s going on in the world. Although we live in a nation that’s forgotten God, let’s be the remnant God can count on and use.

Psalms 9:17
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Things We Take For Granted

Good morning. The Bible declares that grace and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives. That doesn’t mean we should take it for granted. We should be mindful that if it hadn’t been for the Lord on our side where would we be. Grace and mercy are not our get out of jail free card. Jesus sacrificed his life so that we may live. So, to keep on sinning just because we have God’s Grace and mercy is not the way to live. When we are in Christ we’ve died to sin, and we should keep dead things buried.

Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Inspection Time

Good morning. Have you ever asked God for a command inspection of your life? Have you ever wanted to know what’s really on the inside of your heart, why are your thoughts afar off, and what’s on the inside of you that God doesn’t like? If you’ve ever been for real with yourself, you know there are somethings about your character that you don’t even like. David realized it was something in him that he needed to get to the bottom of, so he ordered a command inspection of life. Don’t wait until it’s too late to find out what’s hindering you from making it into heaven.

Psalms 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Repent and Live

Good morning. As we look at what’s going on in the world we can see that we have become a nation that’s forgotten God. When right is called wrong, and wrong is called right we need the Lord like never before. The world will make sin look fun, but make no mistake the soul that sin shall die. God is calling us to repentance. While the blood is running warm in our veins we have to seek the Lord while he may be found. Let’s not think we can keep sinning and live to tell the story. God can snatch our lives from us at anytime. Will we be ready?

Amos 5:6 Come back to the Lord and live!
Otherwise, he will roar through Israel like a fire, devouring you completely. Your gods in Bethel won’t be able to quench the flames.

We Have To Teach Our Children

Good morning. If we have children or children be in our care we are obligated to teach them the word of God. When we go to church, it should enhance what we are teaching them about the Lord. It’s not enough for us to know the word but our children need to know the word as well. We are not with them 24/7 and they need to know how to obey God when they are not in our sight. They need to know what the word of God says and how to apply it to their lives. They need to know how to call upon the Lord for themselves. We are their first teachers, so let’s include the word of God in their lessons.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7
And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

An Inspite Of Praise

Good morning. Can you still rejoice in the Lord even though nothing is going right in your life? Do you still have a hallelujah, thank you Jesus when everywhere you turn all you see is failure? God never said he would shield us from challenging days. He said; low I’ll be with you always. He never said we wouldn’t go through anything. He said; trials and tribulations are sure to come. The Bible declares we are to give thanks in all things. Thank God for the good, the bad, the ugly, and the indifferent.

Habakkuk 3:17-18
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

No One Knows The Mind Of God

Good morning. We can stop having a lot of anxiety when we take God out of the box we’ve placed him in. He doesn’t act like us, nor does he think like us. We cannot even imagine his thoughts. Many people are bound because they’re thinking God is looking at them and thinking about them like man. Some of us think he never gets angry at us because he’s a loving God; while others think God doesn’t love them because he’s a God of judgement. And so, we either keep on sinning or we’re walking on eggshells. God is sovereign and who can know his mind? God left us his word to carry us through this life. When we read it, meditate on it, and live by it then we are pleasing God and there is no guessing game.

Isaiah 55:8-9
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

Sometimes Suffering Is God’s Will

Good morning. Have you ever had to explain to your friends why you are in a certain predicament? Your friends have been trying to figure out if you have some hidden or secret sin, and you’re trying to explain to them that’s not it. Job had those types of friends. They kept telling him; Job you must have sinned for God to come down on you like this. What we must understand is that sometimes suffering is the will of God so that he can get the glory out of our lives. We love to quote the scripture “if we’re going to reign with him, we must suffer with him”. Sometimes it’s not sin, it’s God’s will. God is in control of everything

Job 23:10-14
“But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside. I have not departed from his commands, but have treasured his words more than daily food. But once he has made his decision, who can change his mind? Whatever he wants to do, he does. So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny.
