Watch Your Mouth

Do you just let anything come out of your mouth? Do you care about what you say to people? The Bible clearly helps us out on how we should speak. James 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

We must be very careful what we allow to come out of our mouths. We don’t have the excuse; they made me say it. No one can make you do or say anything you don’t want to.

Mind Your Own Business

When people tell you to shut up and mind your own business, they are not being rude; in actuality they are being biblical.

1 Thessalonians 4:11And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

So, don’t feel some type of way the next time you’re told to be quiet and mind your own business.

Cherish This Moment

It’s not often that families and friends get together and spend the whole day with one another. It’s not often they we take our minds off ourselves and focus on others. Let’s cherish this moment. Someone wishes they had the family we have. Someone wishes they had someone they could call a friend. Let’s not take this moment for granted. For God has blessed us exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think.

Spending

This holiday season will you be spending more money or more time with God? There’s absolutely nothing wrong with spending money and buying gifts. Just don’t let that be your main focus. Jesus is the ultimate gift on any given day. When we spend more time with God he will help us to be wise, and we won’t spend so much money.

God’s Goodness

The Bible says; God’s goodness brings us to repentance. Well God has surely been good to us even when we were not good to ourselves, yet how many of us have repented for our evil ways. Have you ever really thought about just how good God has been to you? It will make tears run down your face when you realize he didn’t have to do it, but he did. So, the next time you say “won’t He do it” you already know not only will he do it; he ain’t never stop doing it.

Don’t Be Satisfied

When you ask your friends or loved ones are they saved, or have they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior; don’t be satisfied when they respond God knows my heart. How many of us have had a chance to witness or lead someone to Christ, but we let them slip through the cracks with that old cliche? It’s not God’s will that none should perish, therefore; we can’t be satisfied with unsaved loved ones and friends.

Pushover

Many people believe Christians are supposed to be pushovers. They don’t want us standing up for ourselves. They believe we have to take what they shove down our throats. Well, we don’t. We don’t have to agree with the world standards. God has given us a standard to live by and follow. If God be for us who can stand against us.

Delayed

I fly a lot and sometimes my flights are delayed. My delays are caused by various issues whether it be weather, mechanical, etc… I don’t get upset because I’ve learned that God is working in the delay. Sometimes it’s a free upgrade or free mileage points. Sometimes it’s keeping me from dangers unseen. If you’re feeling like you’ve been delayed don’t fret because God is working in the delay. So you didn’t get this job; he might be delaying you for a better job, with better pay and less headache. So you didn’t get the promotion; but everyone that got promoted just got fired. Rejoice in the delay.

Evaluations

Many of us in the workforce receive yearly evaluations. It’s a time for our boss to reflect on our success and failures. It also determines whether or not we will receive a bonus. Daily our lives are being evaluated by the Master. When we die we will have our final evaluation and only one of two things will be said; well done thy good and faithful servant or depart from me ye worker of iniquity. What will your evaluation show? Now is the time to work on your evaluation for the better.
