Turn The Other Cheek

My 6yr old grandson is learning more about the word of God and he’s loving it. He asked me the other day is it ok if someone hits him and he decides to talk to them instead of hitting them back. I quickly responded; I’m not raising you to be anyone’s punching bag. However, the Bible does say to turn the other cheek. He replied, well mom you need to respect the Bible. I said; son you’re right, but if someone is attacking you you fight back to get away from them. Children have a way of making you check your walk with God. Don’t get mad when a child corrects you. Check your character then correct it.

Don’t Wait Until Thanksgiving

Many people are waiting until Thanksgiving Day to say what they are thankful for. Don’t wait for just one day, tell God everyday what you’re thankful for. Let’s face it, you won’t have time to gossip, murmur or complain if you’re constantly thanking God.

What Are You Made Of

How do you react when crisis comes into your life? Do you fall apart? Do you stay strong and call on the Lord? Well you see exactly what you’re made of when testing time comes. So be careful how you judge others on how they react.

Don’t Lose Hope

With everything going on in the world it’s easy to lose hope. Don’t lose hope and don’t get all out of sorts; God is still in control. God doesn’t make any mistakes and soon he’s going to show up on your behalf.

See Past Your Now

Don’t get stuck in today. You have to see past what you’re going through now. You have to see yourself coming out. You have to see yourself making it. You have to see yourself breaking free. The future is one second, one minute and one hour away. Don’t stay stuck. See past your now.

Consequences

Whenever we do something do we ever stop to think about the consequences? We may be saved but do we ever think that God will forgive our sins, and still punish us for our sins? Being saved is not a get out of jail free card. God chastens those he love.

Waiting On The Lord

Waiting on the Lord can be frustrating and rewarding all at the same time. The frustration comes in when we think God should have moved on our behalf already. We begin to think what’s taking him so long. We begin to question does God even hear our prayers. We allow the enemy to creep into our minds and speak nonsense to us, and we believe it.

The rewarding part is we won’t make a move until the Lord speaks. By doing this we save ourselves a lot of heartache and heartbreak. We save ourselves from making a mess of things and paying for it dearly. Psalms 27:14 Wait on the Lord:

be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

When There Are No Words

When there are no words to say about a situation silence is good. It may seem awkward but it’s not. You may not be able to say a word, yet God knows exactly what your heart is saying. Sometimes it’s better to sit in silence than run off at the mouth. So, when there are no words to say; just be quiet.

You’re Still Blessed

You may not have everything you want but you’re still blessed. You may not drive a fancy car, but you have a paid off car and you’re still blessed. You may not go to fancy restaurants but you eat good food, and you’re still blessed. Stop comparing yourself to other people. Stop complaining about what you don’t have and look around and see what you do have.

This Didn’t Catch God By Surprise

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: what’s going on in the world did not catch God by surprise. The Bible is going to come to pass whether we’re ready or not. We are in a season of unrest, and unconscionable things are taking place. God knew the world would be in this state of chaos before the foundations of the world ever existed. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found.
