Many of us say we love God and God is in control of our life. However, we really don’t let him have complete control because we’re not really sure which way he will move. We say we trust God, but we don’t really trust him with everything in our lives that’s why we continue to try to work things out, instead of letting God work things out. If we are to ever experience the fullness of God then we need to give him full control.

Many of us are in our own way because of the way we think. So a man think, so is he. Maybe if we looked at situations the way God looked at them, we wouldn’t be so quick to get mad, jump to conclusions, assume the wrong thing, and hurt people in the process. Why do we always want to think negatively about a situation instead of trying to find something good in it? When we get our thoughts together the situation will work out.

I’ve been told in life, be careful what you ask for you just might get it. Have you ever asked God for something and he gave it to you? Once you got it, you realized this is not what I really wanted. You prayed again and asked God to take it away and he acted like he didn’t hear you that time? Don’t be discouraged. God knows what’s best for us even when we don’t. In situations like this we need to find out what God wants us to learn. These situations will also teach us to be very specific in what we ask God for.

Are you considered a strong person? Does everyone look to you to see how you’re going to respond? Do you ever feel like breaking down but you know someone is watching you, and depending on you? Don’t be afraid to say you’re not strong in an area. In our weakness God is our strength. We can cast all of our cares on him for he knows just how we feel and what we’re going through. You don’t always have to hold it together, you can break free and let people know you’re human.

Many times Christians feel like they can tell people off in the name of Jesus. That’s not showing the love of Christ and we shouldn’t treat people that way. The old saying is still true; treat people the way you want to be treated. When was the last time you woke up and said; I want someone to curse me out today? When was the last time you said; I want someone to tell me off and say Jesus told me to tell you? You didn’t, so stop lying and treating people bad in the name of Jesus.

You have to know who’s talking before you can respond. If God said it, act on it quickly and without doubting. If man said it, consult God and see if it’s what he wants for you. You have to be careful to the voices you listen to.

When you trust God with your life, that means you’re totally taking your hands off your life. Even when things don’t make sense to you, you know your life is in the right hands.

As we remember this day in history, many Americans are still feeling the impact of this days events in 2001. I was a Soldier then, and I can remember where I was, what I was doing, and what base I was stationed at. I can remember my First Sergeant’s words vividly; are you ready? I replied yes, he said; go home and get your A &B bag. I had to prepare my kids quickly that mom was going away to war. Not knowing the outcome. Not knowing if I was coming home dead, alive, whole, missing limbs or in pieces. What a difference 24hrs make! So with all that’s going on in the world are we ready for our final resting place? No man knows the day nor the hour that Christ will return. However, we need to be ready and when he calls our name it’s too late to go and get ready. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. Don’t take today for granted thinking you can put it off until tomorrow. You may not be on this side tomorrow. Choose ye this day whom you will serve; as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Stop having a pitty party and get busy doing something positive. Pain has a way of pushing us into our destiny. Pain has a way of bringing out the greatness in us. So instead of whining and crying turn that pain into something extraordinary.
