Before you get frustrated and start fussing and cursing take a step back. Try to look at the situation from another perspective. Try praying before complaining. Things may not be right and they may just be down right horrible. However, as long as you have your life; you have a fighting chance when you hand Jesus your problems. Many times we find, we’re just too close to make a rational decision.

Have you ever noticed how God’s plans never line up with your plans. Sometimes it makes you wonder does he even take into account what you want. Don’t get frustrated. He created us and he knows what’s best for us. Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

On Sunday I put out a decree to my family that I’m not cooking for the rest of the week. I did this in response to them not taking care of me properly after my knee surgery. They figured mom loves to cook and she’s bluffing. Well it’s been three days and secretly I’ve been tempted to cook but I’ve stuck to my guns so far. This has actually been a good lesson for them. I see they have banded together and are cooking for each other. My 12yr old daughter even asks me if I can supervise her while she’s at the stove preparing food. My son who’ve I spoiled rotten has seen first hand that I have a limit to what I will take off him and now he knows how to make his own breakfast. What started as a rebellion from me turned into a great forced lesson for my kids. Now they know how to make things happen in the kitchen whenever I decide no to, and most importantly they look out for each other. What I meant for their bad God turned it around for their good.

No matter what’s going on in your life pray, pray and when you get tired pray some more. Prayer is the best weapon we have against our enemy.

With so much anger, hatred and bigotry in the world we need Jesus like never before. In times like these it’s easy to lose hope, but if we are anchored in Jesus we know he is a deliverer. We shouldn’t be surprised by what’s happening in the world because the Bible speaks of this. Matthew 24:6-13

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

God’s word is true.

In today’s times we really have to walk by faith and not by sight. If we keep looking at stuff with our natural eyes we will revert back to our old man. In looking at things through spiritual eyes, it doesn’t make us blind to depression, oppression, racism and bigotry; it lets us know what Psalm 37 is talking about. Psalms 37:1-2

Fret not thyself because of evildoers,

neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,and wither as the green herb. Hold on to Gods unchanging hand. We don’t live in a lovable world that’s why we shouldn’t get comfortable down here.

Now is not the time to embrace the victim role ,but it's the time to become victors. Now is not the time to run and retreat for the kingdom suffers violence and the violent take it by force. Now is not the time to say you don't have an opinion, for if you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.

Just because you're starting a new chapter in your life doesn't mean the last chapter was bad; it just means the last chapter ended. A new chapter can be promising, it can also be disastrous. Starting a new chapter doesn't mean you stop praying; it means you remember what happened in the last chapter and pray that this new chapter is better. Notice I didn't say hope this new chapter is better. Prayer changes things.

The Bible says we are to bear one another burdens, but does that mean we are supposed to be dependent upon one another? The Bible clearly states if a man doesn't work he doesn't eat. Therefore, the person needing help has a responsibility to try and help themselves as well. If we are in a position to help others we are not to turn a blinded eye. However, if we need help we shouldn't expect the person we're asking to help us to do everything without trying ourselves.

Peace is a precious commodity. Many people today don't have peace. Some people may need spiritual peace, emotional peace, financial peace, or just overall peace. Unfortunately we look for peace in things and people and we may find temporary peace but it doesn't last. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
