Jesus said he came to set the captives free. If this is so, why do so many people in the church hold Christians hostage? We love to keep people bound because they don’t measure up to our standards. We don’t have a heaven or hell to place people in, so all of this foolishness in the name of the Lord needs to stop.

This morning I was getting my grandson ready for school and he said; mom you don’t have to help me because I know everything. Sometimes we treat God like that. God I don’t want your help because I know everything about this situation. Therefore, we leave him out of the equation to solve it. We don’t know everything, that’s why we need God. It’s time to seek God about everything and leave nothing to chance.

Luke 22:32But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. We are obligated to go out and help someone else on this Christian journey.

When you say yes to God do you really mean it? Can God count on your yes? If God cannot count on your yes, then you need to repent and get it right with God.

There’s Power in the blood of Jesus. Keep pleading the blood of Jesus over every situation in your life.

Stay in the will of God. We spend so much time trying to please other people that we neglect to please God. Staying in the will of God is not hard if we love him like we say we love him. We bend over backwards for those we love. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

We have to trust that God is a man of his word. Do not allow the world and what’s going on in the world; make you doubt that God is who he say he is. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

When we stop picking and choosing which scriptures of the Bible we will obey and which ones we will omit; we will stop deceiving ourselves. The Bible is a story about love and redemption, sin and repentance and forgiveness. We all need love and we all need to be redeemed. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Where would we be if the Lord had not forgiven us of our sins? So let’s forgive people that have hurt us and stop holding them hostage.

If you don’t like your situation, change it if you have the power to. Many times we keep ourselves in bondage when God has clearly given us freedom. It’s time to re-evaluate our situations and change anything that we don’t like.
