It’s Time To Take God At His Word

The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith unto him, go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.(John 4:49-50) When will we start taking God at his word? We see the nobleman didn’t question God; he just did as the Lord instructed him to do. We tend to want to get a second opinion about what God has told us to do, or as the church world calls it, confirmation. Many of us are going to miss out on what God has for us waiting on confirmation. We want God to give us a word, but when he gives us a word, we won’t act on it. Today, take action on the word that God has given you and quit looking for a cosigner of God’s word.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

The Outside

Many of us look on the outside of a person and decide whether or not they are good people, but God looks at the heart. You can have a well dress man, he looks handsome, he has a nice car and all the women want to flock to him. The woman he has wants to runaway from him because he beats her daily. You can have a good looking woman, she has a good job, she doesn’t ask a man for anything and we look at her and say; she has it gong on. However, her kids wishes she was dead because she’s cruel and brutal to them. She treats strangers better than she treats her kids. You can have a man that looks like a bum, doesn’t smell to good and dismiss him as nothing. Never knowing he loves the Lord. He does have a house and money and he’s just looking for someone to love him for him, and not love him for what he has. You can also see a lady in the streets selling her body and call her all types of names; not knowing she’s being human trafficked and her trafficker is watching her every move. We are so quick to look on the outside of a person and judge them, instead of getting to know them. You don’t like it when people do it to you, so stop doing it to other people.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Why Me?

Have you ever asked God; why me? Why must I have to endure this? Why does everything seem to go wrong? Have you ever thought that you’re the right person for the job? God knows what he’s placed in you and now it’s time for you to learn what God has placed inside of you. Instead of saying; why me, say thank God I’m strong enough to deal with this situation. Thank God you have what it takes and that you’re the right person for the job.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

It Just Won’t Work

Whenever you take God out of the equation everything you try to do will fail. It just won’t work out the way you planned it to work. Stop working so hard by leaving God out. Work smarter, include God in the beginning and let him show you which way to go.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Blessings From God

Blessings from God is not always money. Many people believe they are not blessed if they don’t have money. What about the person who has money but their health is failing and the doctors can’t do anything for them. Don’t you know they’d do anything to have good health. What about the people who have money and everyone is trying to take their money. Don’t get me wrong, money is good to have and it’s nothing wrong with having it. But if you only base being blessed by having money then your thought process is wrong. If you’re happy then your blessed. If you have the activity of your limbs, then you’re   blessed. If you’re family is still alive then you’re blessed. We have to learn to look at all of the things we take for granted to realize how blessed we really are.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

So Glad I Made It

Thursday I was flying back home to Japan when 2hrs into the flight the pilot came over the intercom and said we had to turn around due to the engine fire light coming on. We landed safely back to Atlanta and while awaiting a new airplane people began to complain. I told one passenger let’s look at the glass half full. We will arrive alive and thank God we were not over the ocean where we could have dropped and not be able to turn around. We get so angry when plans don’t go our way or our plans are detoured. We should be thankful. God knew what he was doing. Some of the passengers didn’t understand that the airline could have been calling family members into the airport to deliver bad news, instead, they were texting passengers saying we’ve been delayed. Although I missed my shuttle and had to take four trains and a car ride to get home once I landed, I still thank God I made it home alive. My daughter  was so gracious in that when she got off work she took those four trains and a car ride to meet me at the airport so that I wouldn’t have to make that journey alone, because she knew I would have gotten lost and turned around on the Japanese train system. I finally made it home Saturday morning  and was able to enjoy my kids.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

People Are Hurting

Many times when you see people on the street your first thought may be; won’t they just go get a job and stop begging. If that thought crossed your mind, REPENT. Time and Chance happens to us all. It’s only by the grace of God that you’re not homeless or have to ask for a handout. Instead of just saying why don’t they get a job. Stop and talk to them and let them tell you their story. You might just be surprised to know they were once on top. They were once thriving in life, but life happened to them and for one reason or another they were not able to recover. So before you turn your nose down, it could have been you, but God.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

Lord Am I Pleasing To You

Many of us are worried about pleasing people. We care too much about what they think and how they feel about us. Our focus is all wrong. Our thoughts and questions should be focused on God. At the end of the day all we should want to know is;  Lord am I pleasing in your sight. Many of us will find out that we’ve grieved the Holy Spirit and that we need to repent.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

You Can’t Convince Me Otherwise

Yesterday I had the privilege of talking to an older lady who was convinced there is no God. She was saying some derogatory things about Jesus. Then I began to ask her who made the sun and the moon? Who do you think made the mountains? I asked her, do you truly believe scientist made all of this. She replied, it’s scientifically proven. She then asks me; What keeps you from going to heaven. I replied, the bible says; if thou confess with thou mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead then you shall be saved. Therefore if you don’t confess Jesus or even believe thou won’t make it in. She then said some expletive’s and said the bible was written by man. Another young lady chimed in and said; you have to have faith to believe in God and you have to have faith not to believe in God. The older lady then asked; why do you believe there is a God. I told her because I know where he brought me from and only God could do that. Later on that night we were walking to our hotel  and a couple stopped us and asked us to buy them some food. I took them to a restaurant and it was closed so we walked to another one,  I ordered what they wanted, paid the bill and left. The older lady asked why would you do that; I told her because it could’ve been me, but God. I knew the older lady couldn’t convince me there was no God, and I wasn’t going to convince her. All I could do was give her the word then be an example before her. As Christians we will always encounter someone that don’t believe and we cannot be rude or nasty to them no matter how they come off. We just have to remember, if God be lifted up he’ll draw all men to him. We just need to show love and kindness.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.

One More Chance

God could have cut us off a long time ago but he decided to give us one more chance. What are we doing with the chance he’s given us? Are we still acting like Satan is our father or are we showing the world the God is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? We should not squander the chance we’ve been given to make it into heaven. We should not squander the chance we’ve been given to spread the good news about Jesus Christ. We should not squander the chance we’ve been given to glorify our Father in heaven. Let’s not take this chance for granted.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
