Before we judge someone else let’s make sure we’re perfect. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

At the end of the day what does it matter that you cursed someone out, gave someone a piece of your mind or blocked them on Facebook. If you knew you’d be dead at the end of the day how would you live your life today? Since you don’t know what the end of the day is going to bring, live your life right now to the fullest. Repent, confess the Lord as your Savior, pray, and get busy telling people about a God who sent his only begotten son to die for our sins, who rose on the third day with all power in his hands so that we could have eternal life. If you do this and find at the end of the day you’re dead; to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

We should all have a sense of urgency to be about our fathers business. Everyday we see calamity happening somewhere in the world, therefore, we should be spreading the gospel as much as possible. It’s not the will of the Father that anyone should perish, but that everyone has eternal life. Let’s get busy. We shouldn’t have to wake up one morning and find that our friends or loved ones lost their life to senseless violence, and feel guilty that we had a chance to tell them about Jesus Christ and we let the opportunity pass us by.

There is no reason why anyone should spend an eternity in hell. They cannot give the excuse that God didn’t give them a chance to know him. They cannot say; they did not have access to the gospel. In some shape, form or fashion we all have been introduced to God. Stop playing with your life. Because contrary to popular belief, we don’t have one life to live. We have one life to live on earth and one life to live where we will spend eternity. This world ain’t worth going to hell for.

Now is the time for you to start living and stop saying; when I get older. Now is the time for you start that business and stop saying; when I get the money. Now is the time for you to step out on faith and stop saying; when everything lines up. Now is the time to make up your mind to give your life to God and serve him, and stop saying; tomorrow because I have time. No man knows the day nor the hour when Jesus shall return or call your number. Don’t put off tomorrow what you can do today.

Often times we like to cast our cares on each other. We want to know what there’s would do if they were in our situation. We are looking for them to either talk us in or out of something. I’m good for this. I like to call my mother and cast all of my cares on her. However, she leads me right back to the person I should cast my cares on and that’s God. I know my mother will give me sound advice that’s why I go to her, but her advice is not better than God’s solutions for my problems. We will have less anxiety and worry when we start placing our trust solely in God. He knows what’s best for us and he doesn’t make mistakes. So the next time you find yourself in a jam or a situation that’s too much for you, cast your cares on God and no one else.

God’s word is true even when our situation seems out of control. We have to read it, meditate on it, and follow what it says to do. Many of us are scared to take God at his word because we can’t see him or feel him. However, that’s the best thing we can do. God’s word will never change. His word is power and life. His word is sharper than any two-edged sword. His word will heal, deliver and set free. God’s word never lies.

When people don’t understand you, they talk about you. When people don’t understand why you are the way you are, they find fault with you. We would be better off if we just communicated with each other. If we don’t understand a person, trying sitting down and have a conversation. You may just find that you might have something in common. All of us have been misunderstood at one point in our lives; and we were trying to figure out why were people treating us the way they did. We didn’t like it. So, if we didn’t like it, what makes us think the other person likes the way we treat them when we don’t understand them. The bible says; in all thy getting, get an understanding. A little bit of conversation goes a long way.

As a preacher I’m often called upon to pray. Praying comes natural to me and I like to pray. But when I’m called upon to pray for families in bereavement it’s hard. I know no matter what I pray, words are not enough. Their hearts are broken, the bottom has just fell out from under them, life as they know it has changed forever, and I have to find a way to say words. It’s in these moments I find silence sometimes is the best. If they want to scream, curse, yell, holler or whatever, I let them do it; because I really don’t know their pain at that moment. While I’m silent I’m praying Lord fix it. Lord do it. Lord comfort. Lord have your way. Lord what do I say when I do speak. If you’re helping someone through the grieving process it’s ok to be quiet. You don’t always have to say something. Pray for the peace of God to come in and let his presence fill the room.

Our country is in a state of disarray. We seem like a nation that has forgotten God. Hatred amongst races is very strong. The enemy is having a field day with our country. The remedy is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
