Before you give up on God, look back over his track record. Look back at the times when you were in a worse situation and he brought you out. Think about the times he covered your sins and no one still knows about them. Think about how he told you he’s married to the backslider. Hold on, he’s coming to see about you. He may not come when you want him, but you will want him when he comes. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

Today I’ve turned 41 and I thank God he allowed me to see another year. Today I shout with a voice of triumph. When I look back over my life and think things over; my soul gets happy. This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.

The world may not know your name. You may not be rich. People may have counted you out, but you’re worth something to God. God values you so much, he knew you before you were in your mother’s womb. Look at all the times he’s looked out for you. Look at how he covers you and keeps you. You’re worth more than you’ll ever know. God knows everything about you. He knows the good, bad, ugly, and indifferent things about you; and yet, he decided to have his son die for you. He loves you unconditionally, but you keep putting him in the same category as man and you don’t believe you’re worth that kind of love. Ask God to show you what you mean to him. Ask God to teach you how to value yourself the way he values you. Ask God to deliver you from caring about what people think about you. 

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. 

If God said it, believe it. He’s not a man that he should lie. Even if things don’t look like what God has said, don’t lose hope. It will come to pass and you can take God’s word to the bank.

No matter what things look like praise God. Praise him in the good and bad. Praise him when things are not working out. Our praise shouldn’t be conditional, it should be automatic. Praise will confuse the enemy.

The bible says; a man that don’t work don’t eat. Yet we have a lot of men and women who are capable of working sitting on their butts and allowing other people to take care of them. I know the economy is not that great but there is work out there. There’s also the possibility that people can start their own business. If you have someone in your life that refuses to work, it’s time for them to go on a fast. Tell them to put that fork down, they’ve had their last supper. Refuse to let them be fat and full living in your house, eating up all your food, and not contributing anything. Again, a man that don’t work don’t eat.

God loves it when we come to the end of ourselves. Many times we act as if we don’t need any help from anyone. We act like we can handle everything on our own. So God allows something to occur in our lives that makes us come to the end of ourselves. When this happen, we realize without God we can do nothing, we can be nothing and we are nothing. We realize that if God don’t move on our behalf and deliver us out of the situation then it won’t happen. When we come to the end of ourselves, pride tends to go away and we began to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord. If you’ve never had to come to the end of yourself, keep living and thinking you can do it all by yourself; soon and very soon you will have no choice but to come to the end of yourself.

Many people look at jobs that other people do and say; I can do that job. That may be true, but did God assign you to that job? God has assigned each and everyone of us a job in the kingdom and out the kingdom. We seem to have a problem with both jobs. We don’t like the job that pays the bills and we don’t like the job in the kingdom, because it doesn’t yield us being in the spotlight. God knows exactly what he’s doing when he assigns us to different things. Just do it without murmuring and complaining.

Many people are not in a good emotional place. They may look like it, but when you talk to them and really listen to them, you will know their emotional state is not good. It’s not taboo to go seek help. I know you may say I’ll pray about it, but God created therapist too. Sometimes you need to seek professional help to get where you need to be emotionally. God called us to have a sound mind. He didn’t call us to go around and be crazy.

Many people say when they get themselves together, then they will go to church. That’s crazy! Church is a spiritual hospital and it’s for all the lame, broke, dysfunctional, crazy people. Hence, it’s for you and me. Saying I’m going to wait until I get myself together; is like saying, when my arm heals from being broken then I’m going to the hospital. We will never get ourselves together without the help of God. People might look like they’re together on the outside, but if God were to uncover them and us, we would see just how jacked up we really are.
