We live in a microwave society. Everyone wants what they want now. No one wants to wait. We get mad if the cashier is taking too long to ring up our order. We get mad when our food server says that will be a few minutes on your order. We definitely get mad when people tell us to pray about the situation, but they forget to tell us God takes his time answering. If you’re looking for God to move on your time schedule, I suggest you pack a lunch. You will be looking for a while. God’s ways are not our ways. He shows up when he gets ready. He moves according to his time not ours. When he does show up, that’s when we’ll need him. So if he hasn’t showed up for you yet, just be patient. Just don’t try to move without him, because he’ll make you wait longer.

Today my kids expressed how happy they were that I finally returned back home. I asked them why are they so happy and unanimously they said; so we can eat and have food. I asked them is that all and they said; yes. Sadly this is what we think of God. We’ve reduced him to being a bill payer, giving us a house, car, and money. He’s much more than that. When you look throughout the bible you see him as a deliverer, a healer, a judge, a teacher, a carpenter and much more than that. Learn how to see God more than what you’ve been seeing him as. I see him as the great I AM.

Just because you’ve been through things in life, doesn’t mean you’ve lost your value. In reality, those things you’ve been through have added to you. You wouldn’t know how to be strong, if someone didn’t try to weaken you. You wouldn’t know how to survive, if someone didn’t try to end you. You wouldn’t know there’s a God in heaven who loves you unconditionally, if someone didn’t take you through hell and treat you with conditional love. So, stop letting people treat you like you’re worthless.

Today as I was flying back home I needed everything to go smoothly. I couldn’t afford for the plane to be late, I had to catch a three hour bus ride back to my house once I landed. This was the last bus and if I missed it, I would have had to haul all of my luggage on the train, in which I would have had to take three trains and have someone pick me up at the train station. But God. The plane landed 15minutes early, it only took me two minutes to get through the initial customs, 10 minutes to get my luggage and one minute to get through the final customs. Normally it takes all of 30minutes to get through the initial customs. 

Just as God sped up the flow of travel for me, he’s speeding up the flow in your life. Some of you have been lagging and slacking but God needs you to be about your Father’s business. So, he’s speeding up some processes in your life. You can’t afford to slow drag in this hour you have to be off to the races. You don’t want to be left with an alternative.

Today I got to meet people from all over the Micronesia Islands. Some of the places they were from I’ve never heard of before. However, we were all together; talking, hugging, dancing and getting to know each other’s customs. No one cared about what color the other person was. No one cared about what political party they belonged too. All we knew, is that we are all God’s children, and that this was a once in a lifetime thing that we all would be in one place on one accord. I got to see a portion of God’s children who didn’t look like me or talk like me, and we were embracing like sisters and brothers. To be in an atmosphere where there was no one being shot, robbed, raped, discriminated against, or being taken advantage of was priceless. When are we going to learn that we are all God’s children, no matter what color we are or where we come from. I’m just glad that I got to behold this sight and be apart of something special.

When the storm ceases that’s not the time to stop praying. You have to pray even harder, because the enemy doesn’t take a break from creating mischief. We shouldn’t only pray when we’re in the storm, we should pray when things are going well. It seems like God only hears from us during the storm and after the storm we’re nowhere to be found. Don’t be fooled by the enemy, he has something brewing right around the corner.

Many of us allow people to hold us back from our dreams and our destiny. Stop caring about what other people think about you, or what they’re going to say about you. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I really cared what other people thought about me. It’s not being arrogant, as some people would suggest. It’s called living your own life and not the life someone else wants you to live. We will only give an account for the life we live, not the life other people lived. Some people still go to the same dead church because they are too afraid of what their parents or grandparents are going to say; all the while they’re spiritually dying. Some people are still living in the same place, because they allowed someone to talk them out of their dreams. Don’t take advice or listen to opinions from people who are not doing nothing, don’t want nothing and are not going anywhere. If you need sound advice and direction ask God and he will lead you.

Have you ever found yourself repenting for hurting God, for grieving the Holy Spirit, for crucifying Jesus afresh? You may not be doing wrong the very moment you repent, but as you begin to look back over your life; it makes you sick when you realize how cruel you’ve been to God. When we look back at all the mess God got us out of and he wasn’t even on our mind it should make us say; Lord I’m sorry. When I didn’t answer God’s messages it makes me say; Lord I’m sorry. When I didn’t answer God’s knee mail, it makes me say; Lord I’m sorry. When I professed to know God and said the Holy Spirit lives in me, and I took the Holy Spirit to filthy places, and spoke evil communications around the Holy Spirt, it makes me say; Lord I’m sorry. I’m sorry for taking God for granted as many of us do on a daily basis. I’m sorry for bringing a reproach to the name of God. I’m sorry for making God guilty by association with me; saying one thing and living another. God has been so good to all of us, why not take the time out and look at the man and woman in the mirror today and repent.

There are times when we’re not feeling like going to church, praising, God, reading the word, or praying. If we be real honest with ourselves, we sometimes say; what’s the use nothing is getting better. The more I pray, the worse it gets. That’s just a trick of the enemy. He wants us to focus on the negative and he doesn’t want us to see that God is working on our behalf, even though we cannot feel him, and it seems like he’s not listening or caring about what we’re going through. We don’t feel like going to work, but we go. The enemy doesn’t try to stop us from going to work. Bottom line, when we are just not feeling it, that’s when we have to press our way to church, pray, read the word, and praise God. Don’t forfeit your blessing because you’re not feeling it today. The enemy wants nothing more than for you to give up on God.

When it’s time for you to die, ready or not you’re going to die. Every deed done in your body will be called into account. It will be too late to try to get things right with God. Since God was so gracious to wake you up this morning, prepare yourself today for where your soul will be for eternity. Being a good person doesn’t guarantee you a place in heaven; there are a lot of good people in hell. Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead. Live holy before the Lord. Don’t allow no one else to take you to hell. If you choose to go to hell go wide open; first class. But if you choose to live for the Lord, do it with all your might. Ready or not, we all have this appointment that we can’t get out of.
