Don’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover

on April 25, 2016

Today I met a man who told me Harold’s Chicken was the best chicken in the world. I was taken back, because you have to be from Chicago to know about this chicken. Another young man was standing there and he tried to chime in and say; the south has the best chicken. The Indian man had to quickly correct him. I was just in awe, because this man was not from Chicago but he spent a year in Illinois. Many of us look at people and quickly sum them up without knowing who they really are, where they really come from, or what they’ve been through. They may not look like us, talk like us, smell like us,  or even act like us and we already have formed an opinion about them. I would have never thought that I’d live in Japan, meet a man from India that loves Harold’s Chicken from Chicago. When I met him, I did not expect for him to know anything about my hometown and he blew me away. Before we go judging people, we need to get to know them. After we get to know them, we still don’t have a right to judge them.

Be blessed and continue to be a blessing.
